Last War Aircraft Center upgrade building for aircraft heroes

The Aircraft Center in Last War: Survival is the military building that strengthens Aircraft-type heroes. It unlocks at Headquarters level 12 and increases Aircraft Hero March Size, HP, Attack, and Defense as you upgrade it.

If Aircraft is your main troop type, the Aircraft Center should remain one of your important military upgrades because one building improves every eligible Aircraft hero. If your main formation is Tank or Missile Vehicle, it normally has lower priority than the Center that directly supports your primary squad.

The Aircraft Center unlocks at HQ 12, reaches level 30 during normal progression, and can advance to level 35 through Age of Oil expansion. Aircraft-focused players gain the most value from keeping it developed alongside their Headquarters, heroes, gear, research, and Drone.

What Does the Aircraft Center Do?

The Aircraft Center applies four building bonuses specifically to Aircraft heroes:

  • Aircraft Hero March Size: Increases the troop capacity associated with eligible Aircraft heroes.
  • Aircraft Hero HP: Raises their base survivability.
  • Aircraft Hero Attack: Adds Attack to eligible Aircraft heroes.
  • Aircraft Hero Defense: Adds Defense to eligible Aircraft heroes.

These bonuses are tied to hero type, not to a specific squad slot. An eligible Aircraft hero benefits from the Aircraft Center even if you are temporarily using that hero in a mixed formation.

Separately, squad composition has its own same-type bonus. A formation containing five heroes of one troop type receives +20% HP, Attack, and Defense. That lineup bonus is a different mechanic from the Aircraft Center itself, but the two systems naturally complement each other when you build a full Aircraft squad.

When Does the Aircraft Center Unlock?

The Aircraft Center becomes available at Headquarters level 12. If your HQ is still below that point, focus on the required base progression first rather than holding resources specifically for the Center.

Use the Last War Headquarters upgrade guide to plan your next HQ milestones and supporting building requirements.

Which Heroes Benefit From the Aircraft Center?

The current Aircraft hero roster supported by the Aircraft Center includes:

The building does not care about hero rarity. If the hero is classified as Aircraft, the Aircraft Center’s applicable stats benefit that hero.

Why the Center Becomes More Valuable With a Full Aircraft Squad

A developed Aircraft Center can affect all five heroes in a mono-Aircraft formation at once. That gives it better practical value for an Aircraft main than for an account that has only one Aircraft hero mixed into a Tank or Missile lineup.

This is also why you should decide on your long-term primary troop type before spending heavily across all three troop Centers. Last War rewards concentrated development, and spreading resources evenly between Tank, Aircraft, and Missile Centers can slow the building that supports your strongest squad.

Aircraft Center Upgrade Costs and Stats: Levels 1–30

The table below shows the listed resource costs, construction times, and Aircraft hero stats for each completed building level through level 30.

These values are best used as planning references. Construction time displayed on your account can differ depending on active construction-speed effects and Alliance Help, so always check the in-game upgrade screen before committing speed-ups.

Why Aircraft Center Level 20 Is an Important Milestone

Level 20 matters for more than its direct stat increase. The Aircraft Center is also tied to the Aircraft section of the Wall of Honor.

Once an Aircraft hero reaches 5 stars and the Aircraft Center is level 20, that hero can become eligible for Wall of Honor progression. Extra eligible shards can then contribute to longer-term troop-type bonuses.

If Aircraft is your long-term main troop type, level 20 is a particularly useful Aircraft Center milestone because it combines stronger building stats with access to Aircraft Wall of Honor progression for eligible 5-star heroes.

This gives established Aircraft accounts another reason not to leave the Center far behind Headquarters progression.

Aircraft Center Levels 31–35 and Age of Oil

During the Season 2 Off-Season progression, Age of Oil introduces the expansion path that allows Headquarters and other buildings to move beyond level 30. Completing the relevant HQ Expansion research in the Tech Center opens the route toward building level 35.

Aircraft Center levels 31–35 add Oil to the normal Iron, Food, and Coin requirements.

Level Iron Food Coin Oil Aircraft Hero March Size Aircraft Hero HP Aircraft Hero Attack Aircraft Hero Defense Power
31 1,200,000,000 400,000,000 250,000,000 562,500 103 48,000 761.9 152.4 320,300
32 1,300,000,000 440,000,000 280,000,000 900,000 106 51,000 809.5 161.9 367,300
33 1,400,000,000 480,000,000 310,000,000 1,530,000 109 54,000 857.1 171.4 416,300
34 1,500,000,000 500,000,000 320,000,000 2,754,000 112 57,000 904.8 181 466,700
35 1,600,000,000 530,000,000 340,000,000 5,508,000 115 60,000 952.4 190.5 518,700

Added together, levels 31 through 35 require approximately 7 billion Iron, 2.35 billion Food, 1.5 billion Coin, and 11,254,500 Oil using the listed base requirements. The large jump makes late-game prioritization much more important than it is during the early building levels.

Do not push an Aircraft Center from 30 to 35 simply because the levels are available. For an Aircraft main, the investment can be justified; for a Tank or Missile main, those billions of resources and limited Oil may be more valuable in buildings and research that directly support the primary lineup.

When Should You Prioritize the Aircraft Center?

High Priority: Aircraft Is Your Main Squad

Keep the Aircraft Center relatively close to your overall base progression when Carlie, Lucius, DVA, Morrison, Schuyler, or another Aircraft-heavy formation represents your strongest combat squad.

You are improving several active heroes with one construction upgrade, making the resource investment easier to justify.

Medium Priority: You Are Transitioning Into Aircraft

If your first squad is still Tank-based but you are actively building an Aircraft team, upgrade the Center in stages rather than diverting every resource immediately.

Consider:

  • How many core Aircraft heroes you already own
  • Their star levels and skill development
  • Whether their gear is ready
  • How close your Aircraft Center is to level 20
  • Whether your current Tank lineup still carries most PvP and PvE content

A heavily upgraded Aircraft Center cannot compensate for an unfinished Aircraft roster by itself.

Lower Priority: Tank or Missile Is Your Long-Term Main

If you have no near-term plan to field Aircraft as a serious formation, pushing its Center aggressively gives less immediate combat value. Keep your primary troop Center, Headquarters, Tech Center, and other important progression requirements ahead of optional Aircraft investment.

Aircraft Center Priority for F2P and Spenders

F2P and Low Spenders

Concentrated development is especially important when construction speed-ups, resources, and hero materials are limited. Build one strong primary troop type first instead of trying to keep all three Centers at identical levels.

For an Aircraft main, that means prioritizing the Aircraft Center while continuing to develop your core five heroes. Tank or Missile Centers can catch up later when secondary squads become more relevant.

Spenders and Late-Game Accounts

Players with the resources to maintain several competitive formations have more reason to develop all three military Centers. Even then, keeping the Center for your strongest PvP or primary squad ahead of the others usually produces the most immediate return.

For players who prefer starting from a more progressed base rather than building each system from the beginning, comparing a Last War account for sale is an optional progression path. Check the actual Aircraft heroes, Center level, gear, research, HQ progression, and season state instead of relying on total power alone.

How to Prepare for Expensive Aircraft Center Upgrades

Keep Resource Production Supporting Your Build Plan

Late Aircraft Center levels consume very large amounts of Iron, Food, and Coin. Maintain your Iron Mine, Farmland, and Gold Mine as part of the broader economy rather than relying only on stored resource items.

Do Not Block a More Important HQ Upgrade

Check upcoming Headquarters requirements before committing hundreds of millions of resources to the Aircraft Center. An upgrade that gives good Aircraft stats may still be poor timing if it leaves you unable to start an important HQ or prerequisite building.

Use the Tech Center to Improve Long-Term Efficiency

Your Tech Center supports both economic and combat progression and becomes essential for the Age of Oil expansion beyond level 30. Treat the Aircraft Center and research as complementary investments rather than competing systems.

Use Alliance Help on Long Timers

Aircraft Center construction progresses from seconds at low levels to timers measured in days at higher levels. Start expensive upgrades when you can make use of Alliance Help and when your construction queue will not interfere with a higher-priority building.

Time Upgrades With Relevant Events

If your server currently has an event that rewards construction, building power, or related progression, waiting to start a planned upgrade during the correct scoring window can improve its overall value.

Check the current tasks rather than assuming that every event uses the same scoring rules. The Last War Event Hub can help with broader event planning.

Aircraft Center vs. Hero Upgrades: What Comes First?

The Aircraft Center is only one layer of Aircraft squad development. A strong team still depends on:

Do not spend every resource on the building while leaving DVA, Morrison, Carlie, Lucius, or Schuyler underdeveloped. Likewise, do not ignore a cheap and useful Aircraft Center upgrade while spending everything on one hero.

A practical approach is to identify the current bottleneck. If your Aircraft heroes are developed but their troop Center is several levels behind, the building deserves attention. If the building is already strong but key heroes lack stars, skills, or gear, hero development may provide more immediate value.

Common Aircraft Center Mistakes

Upgrading All Three Troop Centers Equally

Equal levels look balanced on the base screen but can be inefficient when only one troop type makes up your main squad. Prioritize the Center that supports the heroes you actually fight with.

Ignoring the Level 20 Wall of Honor Milestone

Aircraft mains with 5-star heroes should account for the Wall of Honor requirement when deciding whether to stop at level 18 or 19.

Rushing Level 31–35 Without an Oil Plan

Age of Oil upgrades add another scarce resource and the requirements rise sharply toward level 35. Check the full sequence rather than looking only at the next upgrade.

Assuming Building Power Equals Battle Value

The displayed power increase is useful, but your actual performance depends on which heroes receive the bonuses and how developed those heroes are.

Neglecting Headquarters and Tech Progression

The Aircraft Center supports combat, but Headquarters and research determine how far the rest of your account can develop. Do not create a military-building bottleneck elsewhere just to maximize one Center early.

FAQs

When does the Aircraft Center unlock in Last War?

The Aircraft Center unlocks when your Headquarters reaches level 12.

What does the Aircraft Center increase?

It increases Aircraft Hero March Size, HP, Attack, and Defense. The bonuses apply to eligible Aircraft-type heroes rather than Tank or Missile Vehicle heroes.

Which heroes benefit from the Aircraft Center?

The current Aircraft list includes Carlie, DVA, Lucius, Morrison, Schuyler, Maxwell, Cage, Sarah, and Ambolt.

Why is Aircraft Center level 20 important?

A level 20 Aircraft Center is one of the requirements for Aircraft Wall of Honor progression. An eligible Aircraft hero also needs to reach 5 stars.

What is the maximum Aircraft Center level?

The standard progression reaches level 30. Age of Oil and the required HQ Expansion research extend the building to level 35.

Should I upgrade the Aircraft Center if my main squad is Tank?

It normally has lower priority if Tank is your permanent main lineup because Aircraft Center bonuses do not improve Tank heroes. Develop it more aggressively when you begin building a serious Aircraft secondary squad or need it for a specific progression goal.

Conclusion

The Aircraft Center is one of the most valuable military buildings for an Aircraft-focused account. It unlocks at HQ 12, strengthens every eligible Aircraft hero, opens an important Wall of Honor milestone at level 20, and eventually extends to level 35 through Age of Oil.

Prioritize it according to the squad you actually use, especially once late-game costs begin consuming billions of resources and Oil. For more hero builds, building priorities, event strategies, and progression guides, explore the latest Last War Survival guides on Heaven Guardian.
