Kingshot Truegold upgrade costs and building priority guide

The Kingshot Truegold upgrade system allows important buildings to progress beyond Level 30. Truegold upgrades strengthen troops, increase training capacity, expand reinforcement and deployment limits, and unlock higher late-game progression.

Truegold becomes available during the Age of Truegold, normally around kingdom Day 70. However, your first building upgrade also requires Town Center Level 30, Embassy Level 30, and Academy Level 30.

This guide explains TG1 through TG8, the complete upgrade costs, how to get Truegold, the best building order, the Truegold Crucible, Tempered Truegold, Truegold Dust, and the difference between Truegold troops and T11 troops.

Upgrade the Town Center and its required Embassy and troop-building prerequisites first. After unlocking each tier, prioritize your main troop building, followed by the Command Center. Complete Daily Missions, Town Center Level 30 Intel Missions, events, and every affordable Truegold Crucible refinement.

What Is Truegold in Kingshot?

Truegold is a late-game material used to upgrade selected buildings beyond Level 30. These advanced building stages are called Truegold levels or TG levels.

The current progression runs from:

  • TG1
  • TG2
  • TG3
  • TG4
  • TG5
  • TG6
  • TG7
  • TG8

Truegold is separate from normal Gold. It is also different from Truegold Dust and Tempered Truegold.

Material Main Use When It Becomes Relevant
Truegold Upgrades selected buildings beyond Level 30 Age of Truegold, around kingdom Day 70
Tempered Truegold Required with Truegold for TG6 through TG8 progression After completed TG5, around kingdom Days 310 to 320
Truegold Dust War Academy research and T11 troop development War Academy, around kingdom Day 220
Gold Research, advanced systems, and Truegold Dust exchange Used throughout account progression

When Does Truegold Unlock?

The Age of Truegold normally begins around kingdom Day 70. Reaching that kingdom age makes the Truegold system and its related rewards available.

To begin your first building upgrade, you need:

  • Town Center Level 30
  • Embassy Level 30
  • Academy Level 30
  • The Age of Truegold active in your kingdom
  • Enough Truegold and standard resources

Reaching Town Center Level 30 before the kingdom reaches the Age of Truegold does not let you bypass the kingdom-age requirement.

Similarly, kingdom age alone is not enough if your Town Center, Embassy, or Academy remains below Level 30.

How Truegold Levels Work

Each Truegold tier contains five upgrades. Four are displayed as partial stages, followed by the completed named tier.

For example, Town Center TG1 progression is:

  1. Level 30-1
  2. Level 30-2
  3. Level 30-3
  4. Level 30-4
  5. Completed TG1

If one TG1 Town Center step costs 132 Truegold, completing all five steps costs:

132 Truegold × 5 upgrades = 660 Truegold for the complete TG1 tier.

This distinction is important when using a Truegold chart. A table may show either the cost of one individual step or the combined cost of the full tier.

Truegold Tier Level Equivalents

Which Buildings Use Truegold?

Seven core buildings use Truegold during the first progression system:

  • Town Center
  • Embassy
  • Command Center
  • Infirmary
  • Barracks
  • Range
  • Stable

The War Academy follows a similar advanced building path after it unlocks, but it begins at TG2 rather than TG1.

Town Center

The Town Center controls access to each new Truegold tier. It must progress first before most supporting buildings can reach the same advanced level.

Every new Town Center tier also requires the Embassy and a rotating troop building to reach the necessary previous level.

Embassy

The Embassy is a repeating Town Center prerequisite. Its upgrades increase reinforcement capacity while keeping your next Town Center tier available.

Even players who rarely lead defenses must develop the Embassy because it blocks Town Center progression.

Barracks, Range, and Stable

Truegold troop-building upgrades provide:

  • Stronger Truegold-level versions of existing troops
  • More Training Capacity
  • Higher Training Speed
  • Additional building Power

Each completed tier unlocks the matching Truegold troop level for that training building.

Command Center

The Command Center increases Troop Deployment Capacity. This improves the number of troops you can send in personal marches and can increase your contribution to rallies and combat events.

Infirmary

The Infirmary increases wounded troop capacity. It can be helpful for active fighters, garrison leaders, and players who regularly take large battlefield losses.

However, it does not directly unlock new Town Center tiers and usually provides less immediate offensive value than troop buildings or the Command Center.

Completing all seven buildings from TG1 through TG8 requires approximately:

  • 26,280 Truegold
  • 788 Tempered Truegold
  • Large amounts of Bread, Wood, Stone, and Iron
  • Many months of building time before bonuses and Alliance Help

The War Academy is not included in this seven-building total.

Best Truegold Upgrade Order

The best order depends on whether you are a rally leader, rally joiner, defender, or general progression player. However, the following route works for most accounts.

1. Town Center Requirements

Your first priority is always the group of buildings required for the next Town Center tier.

This normally includes:

  • The Town Center itself
  • The Embassy
  • One rotating troop building

Do not spend Truegold on optional upgrades if doing so prevents you from completing the next Town Center requirement.

2. Main Troop Building

After covering mandatory requirements, prioritize the training building connected to your most important troop type.

The safest general order is:

  1. Barracks for Infantry
  2. Range for Archers
  3. Stable for Cavalry

Infantry receives first priority because it protects the rest of the formation. Archers normally follow because they provide much of the damage.

Change the order when your heroes, troop formation, or alliance role strongly favors another troop type.

3. Embassy

The Embassy must remain close to the Town Center because it repeatedly becomes a prerequisite.

It also increases reinforcement capacity, which is useful during Castle Battle, Kingdom of Power, and city defense.

4. Command Center

The Command Center is valuable for:

  • Personal march capacity
  • Rally participation
  • Bear Hunt
  • Solo attacks
  • Structure battles
  • Gathering capacity

Rally leaders and frequent fighters may place the Command Center above optional troop buildings.

5. Remaining Troop Buildings

Bring the other two troop buildings forward after your primary line and required prerequisites are secured.

A balanced account eventually needs all three troop types, especially for complete formations, event training, and post-war recovery.

6. Infirmary

The Infirmary is usually the lowest general priority because it provides capacity rather than direct troop strength.

Move it higher when you:

  • Lead garrisons
  • Fight in repeated Castle or Kingdom battles
  • Regularly exceed your wounded capacity
  • Cannot rely on frequent batch healing

Truegold Priority by Player Role

Player Role Recommended Priority
Balanced player Town Center requirements, Infantry, Archers, Command Center, Cavalry, Infirmary
Rally joiner Town Center requirements, primary damage troop, remaining troop buildings, Command Center
Rally leader Town Center requirements, Infantry, main damage troop, Command Center, Embassy
Garrison leader Town Center requirements, Infantry, Embassy, Command Center, Infirmary
Free-to-play account Only mandatory prerequisites and one priority troop line before optional buildings

How to Get Truegold in Kingshot

Truegold income comes from daily activity, events, shops, the Truegold Crucible, and optional packs.

Daily Missions

Complete all important Daily Mission reward chests after the Age of Truegold begins. Daily rewards create a small but reliable Truegold income over time.

Watchtower Intel Missions

Town Center Level 30 Intel Missions can award Truegold. Complete and refresh your available Intel tasks consistently.

Truegold Crucible

The Truegold Crucible becomes one of the best recurring sources after it unlocks around kingdom Day 150 at TG5.

It converts Bread, Wood, Stone, and Iron into a random amount of Truegold. Complete all affordable refinements each day because unused daily attempts do not create future income.

For the complete probability and resource-cost table, read the Kingshot Truegold Crucible guide.

Armament Competition

Armament Competition unlocks during the Age of Truegold. Some rotations provide Truegold as milestone rewards, while others provide different advanced materials.

Save speedups and progression items when a Truegold-rewarding rotation is approaching.

Strongest Governor

Strongest Governor can provide Truegold through milestones, rankings, and event rewards. The event also awards points for spending Truegold during eligible stages.

This makes it possible to gain account progress and event rewards from the same building upgrade.

Kingdom of Power

Kingdom of Power provides Truegold through preparation rewards, rankings, and its event shop.

Large Truegold upgrades are often saved for the preparation phase because spending during a scoring window creates additional value.

Other Events and Shops

Truegold can also appear through:

  • Cesares Fury
  • Mystic Divination
  • Alliance Brawl
  • Merchant Empire
  • Alliance Mobilization
  • Call of the Sovereign
  • Golden Glaives
  • Buccaneer Bounty
  • Hero Rally
  • Kingdom and event shops

Reward inventories can change. Check the current milestone and shop previews before choosing where to spend event currency.

Truegold Packs

Paid packs provide the fastest direct source. Before purchasing, compare:

  • Total Truegold included
  • Speedups and standard resources
  • Whether the pack completes a full tier
  • Whether the upgrade also scores in an event
  • Whether Tempered Truegold will become the next bottleneck

Truegold Crucible Refinement

The Truegold Crucible unlocks at TG5, usually around kingdom Day 150. It is free to construct and does not require normal building upgrades.

Early in the system, it normally allows five refinements per day.

Truegold Refinement Chances

Truegold Reward Chance
1 Truegold40%
2 Truegold30%
3 Truegold15%
4 Truegold10%
5 Truegold5%

Five early refinements produce an average of approximately 10.5 Truegold per day.

Daily Total 105,000 105,000 105,000 105,000

Keep gathering standard resources even after reaching Town Center Level 30. The Crucible turns those resources into long-term Truegold progression.

Tempered Truegold and TG6-TG8

Tempered Truegold becomes necessary after completing TG5 and beginning the path toward TG6.

Its main sources are:

  • Super Refinement in the Truegold Crucible
  • Golden Glaives rewards

Super Refinement Tiers

Weekly Attempts Truegold Cost Possible Tempered Truegold
1 to 2020 Truegold1 to 3
21 to 4050 Truegold2 to 3
41 to 60100 Truegold3 to 6
61 to 80130 Truegold3 to 9
81 to 100160 Truegold3 to 12

The first Super Refinement of each day receives a 50% Truegold cost discount.

Best Tempered Truegold Strategy

  • Complete the inexpensive first 20 weekly refinements.
  • Use the daily half-cost refinement after entering the next tier.
  • Avoid pushing expensive tiers without a planned TG upgrade.
  • Calculate the Tempered Truegold needed for the complete building path.
  • Save a larger push for Kingdom of Power or Strongest Governor when possible.

Tempered Truegold is often the main TG6-TG8 bottleneck. Do not convert all regular Truegold without confirming that enough remains for the building costs.

Truegold Troops vs T11 Troops

These are two different progression systems.

Truegold-Level Troops

Upgrading the Barracks, Range, or Stable to a completed Truegold tier improves the matching existing troop line.

For example:

  • Barracks TG1 unlocks Truegold Level 1 Infantry.
  • Range TG1 unlocks Truegold Level 1 Archers.
  • Stable TG1 unlocks Truegold Level 1 Cavalry.

These units remain part of the normal troop-building progression. They are not the War Academy T11 units.

T11 Troops

T11 troops unlock through the War Academy, which normally becomes available around kingdom Day 220.

War Academy research uses:

  • Truegold Dust
  • Gold
  • Bread
  • Wood
  • Stone
  • Iron
  • Research time and speedups

The three T11 branches are:

  • Truegold Infantry
  • Truegold Archers
  • Truegold Cavalry

Regular building Truegold does not directly unlock T11 troops. It can, however, be exchanged for Truegold Dust inside the War Academy.

What Else Is Truegold Used For?

Besides building upgrades, regular Truegold has two important late-game uses.

Super Refinement

Regular Truegold is consumed to produce Tempered Truegold for TG6-TG8 building progression.

Truegold Dust Exchange

Inside the War Academy, players can exchange:

  • 10 Truegold for 13 Truegold Dust
  • Up to 200 Truegold exchanges per day

This can produce up to 2,600 Truegold Dust per day, but it consumes as much as 2,000 regular Truegold.

Do not use the maximum exchange simply because it is available. Regular Truegold may still be needed for Town Center, troop-building, Embassy, Command Center, and Tempered Truegold progression.

When Should You Spend Truegold?

The best time is usually during an event that awards points for Truegold building upgrades.

Relevant events can include:

  • Kingdom of Power preparation
  • Strongest Governor
  • Armament Competition
  • Other progression events that list Truegold use

Before spending:

  1. Confirm that the active task awards points for Truegold.
  2. Check the milestone requirements.
  3. Calculate the complete building cost.
  4. Prepare standard resources.
  5. Request the correct kingdom Construction title or bonus.
  6. Activate construction-speed bonuses.
  7. Use Alliance Help before applying speedups.

Do not delay an upgrade that is blocking important account progress for several weeks solely to wait for a small event reward.

Best Daily Truegold Routine

  1. Complete all Daily Mission reward chests.
  2. Finish Town Center Level 30 Intel Missions.
  3. Use every affordable Truegold Crucible refinement.
  4. Check current event milestones and shops.
  5. Collect Kingdom of Power and alliance rewards.
  6. Gather enough standard resources for the next refinement day.
  7. Keep Truegold unspent until the next planned tier or event.
  8. Record your regular and Tempered Truegold requirements separately.

Consistent daily income is more reliable than waiting for one large reward. Missing the Crucible and Intel Missions repeatedly can delay progression by hundreds of Truegold over time.

Common Truegold Mistakes

Reading a Per-Step Cost as a Full-Tier Cost

Each TG tier has five upgrades. Multiply the listed individual stage cost by five when the database shows the same price for every step.

Upgrading Every Building Equally

Truegold is limited. Complete Town Center prerequisites and your main troop line before optional buildings.

Confusing Truegold Troops With T11

Truegold troop-building levels strengthen the existing troop line. T11 troops require separate War Academy research and Truegold Dust.

Spending Truegold Before a Scoring Event

When an event is close, waiting allows the same building upgrade to provide permanent progression and event rewards.

Ignoring the Truegold Crucible

The Crucible is one of the strongest recurring sources. Complete its daily refinements and maintain enough Bread, Wood, Stone, and Iron.

Overusing Super Refinement

The Truegold cost rises sharply at higher weekly tiers. Do not chase random high Tempered Truegold rolls without calculating efficiency.

Exchanging Too Much Truegold for Dust

Truegold Dust supports T11 research, but regular Truegold is still required for building progression and Super Refinement.

Upgrading the Infirmary Too Early

Infirmary capacity can help active fighters, but most accounts gain more immediate value from troop buildings and the Command Center.

Assuming Truegold Disappears Automatically

Truegold does not have a documented passive daily decay. If your balance decreases, review recent building upgrades, Super Refinements, and War Academy Truegold-to-Dust exchanges.

Players entering an established kingdom may face large gaps in Truegold buildings, Tempered Truegold, War Academy research, T11 troops, heroes, and gear. Conclusion

The Kingshot Truegold upgrade system begins around kingdom Day 70 and allows selected buildings to progress from Level 30 through TG8.

Each tier contains five steps, so always distinguish between the cost of one upgrade and the total cost of the complete tier. Fully developing the seven original Truegold buildings from TG1 through TG8 requires approximately 26,280 Truegold and 788 Tempered Truegold.

Prioritize Town Center requirements first, followed by your main troop building, Embassy, and Command Center. Use the Truegold Crucible daily, complete Intel Missions and event rewards, and save major upgrades for scoring events when possible.

Finally, keep building Truegold, Tempered Truegold, and Truegold Dust separate in your planning. Building Truegold strengthens TG1-TG8 structures, Tempered Truegold supports later tiers, and Truegold Dust unlocks the War Academy path toward T11 troops.
