Upgrade the Command Center to increase both Rally Capacity and Troop Deployment Capacity in Kingshot. Deployment Capacity also comes from a 500-troop base, Academy research, the three heroes selected for the march, City Bonuses, and temporary boosts. Rally Capacity uses a 2,000 base, the Command Center rally bonus, your total Deployment Capacity, and any applicable rally-specific bonuses.
The Kingshot Command Center determines how many troops you can deploy in a solo march and how many troops can fit inside a rally that you initiate.
However, the number shown in the building table is not always the final capacity displayed during a march. Research, heroes, temporary bonuses, and later-game systems can increase the total further.
This guide explains how to check your current capacity, calculate rally size, increase both capacity types, compare Command Center Levels 1–30, and plan its Truegold upgrades.
What Does the Command Center Do?
The Command Center is a military building that unlocks at Town Center Level 10. Building its first level requires Embassy Level 1.
Its two main benefits are:
- Rally Capacity: The maximum total number of troops that can fit inside a rally you start.
- Troop Deployment Capacity: One contribution toward the number of troops you can send in a solo march.
Rally Capacity matters when attacking Terrors, participating in Bear Hunt, fighting enemy cities, or organizing group attacks during alliance events.
Deployment Capacity affects solo Beast attacks, gathering marches, PvP marches, rally contributions, and other Expeditions where you select a troop formation.
Rally Capacity vs Deployment Capacity
| Capacity | What It Controls | Where It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Troop Deployment Capacity | The maximum troops in one personal march | Solo attacks, gathering, joining rallies, and field marches |
| Rally Capacity | The maximum combined troops in a rally you initiate | Bear Hunt, Terrors, PvP rallies, structures, and group attacks |
| March Queue | The number of separate armies you can deploy simultaneously | Controlled by Command Tactics research, not Command Center capacity |
| Training Capacity | The number of new troops trained in one queue | Controlled by troop buildings, research, and training-capacity bonuses |
These systems are often confused because they all involve troop numbers. Upgrading training capacity will not increase a march, while researching Command Tactics will not make one march larger.
How to Check Rally Capacity in Kingshot
There are two useful capacity numbers to check.
Check the Command Center contribution
- Open your Town.
- Select the Command Center.
- Open its information or upgrade panel.
- Review the current Rally Capacity and Troop Deployment Capacity values.
These are the building’s contributions. They are not necessarily the complete totals used by a selected march.
Check your final rally capacity
- Select a target that allows rallies, such as a Terror or alliance event target.
- Choose the option to start a rally.
- Select the heroes and formation you intend to use.
- Review the total capacity displayed on the rally setup screen.
The rally setup value is the most useful number for alliance planning because it includes the active march and rally bonuses applied to that setup.
Check deployment capacity
Open a normal march formation and select three heroes. The troop counter shows how many troops that specific hero team can deploy.
Changing the selected heroes can change the capacity because each hero contributes a Deployment Capacity value.
Check active City Bonuses
Select the arrow below your profile picture and open the City Bonus panel. This area displays active deployment boosts and other temporary account bonuses.
Troop Deployment Capacity Formula
Your total Troop Deployment Capacity is calculated from several sources:
500 base troops + Command Center + Academy research + three selected heroes + City Bonuses
1. Base capacity
Every march begins with a base Deployment Capacity of 500 troops.
2. Command Center capacity
The Command Center adds the amount shown for its current level. For example, a Level 20 Command Center contributes 38,000 Deployment Capacity.
3. Academy research
Regimental Expansion research in the Academy’s Battle tree permanently increases Squad Deployment Capacity.
These upgrades remain useful throughout the game because they apply to every eligible Expedition march rather than one hero or event.
4. Hero Deployment Capacity
The three heroes selected for a march each contribute Deployment Capacity. Raising hero levels with Hero EXP increases their contribution.
Therefore, two formations using the same Command Center can have different maximum troop counts.
5. City Bonuses and temporary boosts
Temporary Deployment Capacity items and other City Bonuses can increase the total during their active duration.
- Deployment Capacity Boost I: Increases Deployment Capacity by 10% for two hours.
- Deployment Capacity Boost II: Increases Deployment Capacity by 20% for 12 hours.
Use these boosts before important PvP, Bear Hunt, or other situations where the additional troops will create meaningful value.

Rally Capacity Formula
The standard Rally Capacity calculation is:
2,000 base + Command Center Rally Capacity + total Troop Deployment Capacity
Applicable rally-specific bonuses may then increase the displayed result further.
Example calculation
Suppose you have:
- Command Center Level 20: 195,000 Rally Capacity
- Total current Troop Deployment Capacity: 120,000
- Base Rally Capacity: 2,000
Your baseline rally capacity would be:
2,000 + 195,000 + 120,000 = 317,000 troops
A rally-specific pet, Master skill, research bonus, or event effect may raise the final total beyond this baseline.
How to Increase Rally Capacity
Upgrade the Command Center
This is the most direct and consistent method. Each level increases the building’s Rally Capacity contribution.
Increase Deployment Capacity
Your total Deployment Capacity is included in the Rally Capacity calculation. Therefore, Command Center upgrades, Regimental Expansion research, hero levels, and City Bonuses can indirectly raise rally size.
Complete War Academy capacity research
War Academy research includes permanent Squad Deployment Capacity and Rally Capacity upgrades. These become relevant after the War Academy unlocks in an older kingdom.
Because War Academy research consumes Truegold Dust and long research timers, follow the branch that supports your troop and combat priorities.
Use Great Moose
The Great Moose pet’s Antler Impact skill temporarily increases Rally Capacity. Depending on skill rank, the bonus ranges from 60,000 to 150,000 for two hours.
Its long cooldown makes it best for Bear Hunt, major rallies, Castle combat, or another planned combat window.
Upgrade Valora for Bear Hunt
Valora’s Dance of the Hunt increases Raging Bear Rally Squad Capacity from 30,000 to 300,000.
This is a Bear Hunt-specific bonus. It does not increase normal PvP, Terror, or structure rally capacity.
For her complete skill costs and recommended stopping points, read the Kingshot Valora guide.
How to Increase Deployment Capacity
- Upgrade the Command Center: Every level adds a fixed deployment contribution.
- Research Regimental Expansion: These Academy Battle technologies permanently increase deployment size.
- Level the heroes in your march: Higher hero levels improve their individual Deployment Capacity.
- Select higher-level heroes: The three heroes in the formation contribute to the total.
- Use Deployment Capacity boosts: Temporary 10% and 20% items are useful during important combat windows.
- Complete applicable War Academy research: Late-game branches provide additional deployment bonuses.
- Check active City Bonuses: Titles, temporary effects, and usable items may change the current total.
What does not increase deployment capacity?
- Command Tactics: Adds march queues rather than troops to one march.
- Training Capacity Enhance: Changes troop training-queue size, not Expedition size.
- Troop tier: Higher-tier troops are stronger, but their tier does not directly increase how many fit in a march.
- Formation ratios: Ratios divide the available capacity between troop classes rather than increasing the total.
Does the Command Center Control Formations?
No. The Command Center determines capacity, not the Infantry, Cavalry, and Archer percentages used in a formation.
Formation ratios are selected when preparing a march or rally. A larger Command Center lets the formation contain more troops, but it does not decide how those troops are divided.
For example, a 50/20/30 formation means:
- 50% Infantry
- 20% Cavalry
- 30% Archers
The percentages use the total capacity available to that march.
Command Center Level Milestones
| Level | Rally Capacity | Deployment Capacity | Total Gain From Previous Milestone |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1,500 | 400 | Unlocks rallies |
| 10 | 35,500 | 8,000 | +34,000 rally and +7,600 deployment |
| 15 | 87,500 | 22,000 | +52,000 rally and +14,000 deployment |
| 20 | 195,000 | 38,000 | +107,500 rally and +16,000 deployment |
| 25 | 400,000 | 52,000 | +205,000 rally and +14,000 deployment |
| 30 | 840,000 | 67,000 | +440,000 rally and +15,000 deployment |
The rally gains become much larger at later normal levels. As a result, combat accounts and designated rally leaders receive more value from keeping the building close to their Town Center level.

Level 30 data note: Some current third-party tables display 68,000 Deployment Capacity at Level 30. This table follows the 67,000 value that leads into the published 67,700 value at the first Truegold step. Confirm the final number shown in your in-game building panel.
Command Center Truegold Levels
After completing Command Center Level 30 and unlocking the Age of Truegold, the building can progress through Truegold tiers.
Each Truegold tier contains five smaller building stages. Consequently, reaching TG1 means completing 30-1, 30-2, 30-3, 30-4, and the final TG1 step.
| Completed Tier | Equivalent Stages | Rally Capacity | Deployment Capacity |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level 30 | Base | 840,000 | 67,000 |
| TG1 | Five stages | 865,000 | 70,500 |
| TG2 | Five stages | 890,000 | 74,000 |
| TG3 | Five stages | 915,000 | 77,500 |
| TG4 | Five stages | 940,000 | 81,000 |
| TG5 | Five stages | 965,000 | 84,500 |
| TG6 | Five stages | 990,000 | 88,000 |
| TG7 | Five stages | 1,015,000 | 91,500 |
| TG8 | Five stages | 1,040,000 | 95,000 |
Truegold stages require regular resources plus Truegold. Tempered Truegold becomes relevant in the later tiers.
For complete per-stage material totals, unlock timing, Tempered Truegold requirements, and overall building priority, read the Kingshot Truegold upgrade guide.
Should You Prioritize the Command Center?
The Command Center has a medium-to-high priority for combat accounts, but it should not automatically replace every Town Center prerequisite or troop-building upgrade.
Upgrade it aggressively when:
- You are a designated alliance rally leader.
- You host Bear Hunt rallies.
- Your current rally fills before all important alliance members can join.
- You frequently participate in PvP or structure battles.
- Your deployment limit prevents you from sending the desired troop count.
- The building is required for another progression step.
- Your Town Center, Embassy, Academy, and main troop buildings are already progressing efficiently.
Delay it when:
- Your Town Center prerequisite is unfinished.
- Your Embassy is blocking the next Town Center level.
- Your Academy is far behind.
- Your troop buildings cannot unlock the next troop tier.
- You play mainly as a peaceful farm account.
- You rarely start rallies.
- Your current rallies do not fill their existing capacity.
Recommended general building order
- Town Center
- Current Town Center prerequisites
- Embassy
- Academy
- Barracks, Range, and Stable as required
- Command Center when capacity is a practical bottleneck
- Other situational buildings
Rally leaders may move the Command Center higher. Meanwhile, casual players who only join other governors’ rallies can keep it closer to the minimum level required for progression.
Is a Higher Rally Capacity Always Better?
A larger rally is only useful when the available space can be filled with suitable troops.
Before investing heavily, consider:
- How many alliance members reliably join your rallies
- The troop tiers they can send
- Whether the rally timer allows enough members to arrive
- Your own rally-leading heroes and Expedition skills
- The formation ratio required by the target
- Whether another governor already leads stronger rallies
For example, adding 100,000 capacity does not guarantee better results when the extra space remains empty or is filled with low-tier troops.
Is the Command Center Worth Upgrading to Truegold?
Truegold Command Center upgrades are most valuable for designated rally leaders, competitive Bear Hunt players, and active PvP accounts.
Each completed tier from TG1 through TG8 adds:
- 25,000 Rally Capacity
- 3,500 Deployment Capacity
Across TG1–TG8, this increases the building from 840,000 to 1,040,000 Rally Capacity and from 67,000 to 95,000 Deployment Capacity.
However, Truegold must also support your Town Center, Embassy, troop buildings, and other progression priorities. Do not complete Command Center stages merely for displayed power when another upgrade would unlock stronger troops or essential research.
Late-game capacity can require months of building, research, hero, pet, and Truegold progression. Players comparing that path with an established roster can review a developed Kingshot account for sale while checking the Command Center tier, rally capacity, deployment capacity, War Academy research, heroes, pets, troops, and remaining resources.
Common Command Center Mistakes
Treating the building value as the final capacity
The table shows the Command Center contribution. Your final Deployment Capacity also includes heroes, research, base capacity, and active bonuses.
Confusing rally capacity with deployment capacity
Deployment Capacity controls one personal march. Rally Capacity controls the combined troops inside a rally you initiate.
Researching Command Tactics for a larger march
Command Tactics adds another simultaneous march queue. Regimental Expansion is the Academy research that increases the size of one march.
Using Training Capacity Enhance for deployment
Training Capacity Enhance increases the number of troops trained in a troop-building queue. It does not increase march or rally size.
Upgrading the Command Center before core prerequisites
Town Center, Embassy, Academy, and troop-building progression usually have higher general priority unless capacity is already limiting combat performance.
Ignoring hero levels
The three selected heroes contribute Deployment Capacity. A low-level hero formation can deploy fewer troops than a higher-level formation on the same account.
Using temporary boosts too early
Activate capacity items shortly before the important event begins. Otherwise, part of their duration may expire without providing value.
Assuming more capacity guarantees more damage
Troop tier, formation, hero skills, combat statistics, and rally leadership still determine the quality of the additional troops.
FAQ
When does the Command Center unlock in Kingshot?
The Command Center unlocks at Town Center Level 10. Its first level also requires Embassy Level 1.
What is the difference between rally and deployment capacity?
Deployment Capacity determines how many troops fit in one personal march. Rally Capacity determines the combined number of troops that can fit inside a rally you initiate.
How do I check rally capacity in Kingshot?
Open the Command Center to see its building contribution. To check the practical total, open a rally setup and review the capacity displayed before launching the rally.
How is rally capacity calculated?
The standard calculation starts with 2,000, adds the Command Center Rally Capacity, and adds your total Troop Deployment Capacity. Applicable rally-specific bonuses can raise the displayed total further.
How do I increase rally capacity?
Upgrade the Command Center, increase Deployment Capacity, complete War Academy capacity research, and use applicable temporary bonuses such as Great Moose. Valora can also increase Raging Bear rally capacity specifically.
How do I increase deployment capacity?
Upgrade the Command Center, research Regimental Expansion, level the three heroes used in the march, complete applicable War Academy research, and activate Deployment Capacity City Bonuses when needed.
Does Command Tactics increase troop capacity?
No. Command Tactics increases the number of armies that can be deployed simultaneously. It does not increase the troop count inside one march.
What is the maximum Command Center capacity at TG8?
At completed TG8, the Command Center provides 1,040,000 Rally Capacity and 95,000 Troop Deployment Capacity before other account bonuses are added.
Conclusion
The Kingshot Command Center is the main building used to increase rally size and contribute to Troop Deployment Capacity. It unlocks at Town Center Level 10 and progresses from 1,500 Rally Capacity at Level 1 to 840,000 at Level 30.
Deployment Capacity comes from more than the building. Add the 500 base value, Command Center contribution, Regimental Expansion research, the three selected heroes, and applicable City Bonuses.
Rally Capacity begins with a 2,000 base, then adds the Command Center rally value and your current Deployment Capacity. Later research, pets, Masters, and event-specific bonuses may increase it further.
Combat accounts and rally leaders should keep the building reasonably close to their current progression. However, Town Center prerequisites, Embassy, Academy, and troop buildings normally remain the first priorities when capacity is not yet a practical limitation.
