Kingshot Armament Competition Guide: Tasks, Points and Rewards

by | Aug 19, 2026

Kingshot Armament Competition guide

The Kingshot Armament Competition is a recurring two-day progression event that rewards you for timing account upgrades instead of spending important materials as soon as you obtain them.

There are two versions of the event. Type 1 favors Hero Shards, Governor Gear, Truegold, and later Master materials, while Type 2 adds high-value Hero Gear resources such as Forgehammers, Widgets, and Mithril.

The best strategy is not simply to generate the highest possible score. Check the active version, calculate the next milestone, and spend resources only when the upgrade also improves your account.

Type 1 normally runs Monday–Tuesday and ends with Artisan’s Vision as its headline milestone reward. Type 2 starts Friday and focuses on Truegold while also scoring Forgehammers, Widgets, and Mithril. Save expensive materials before the event, target guaranteed milestones first, and use speedups mainly to close small point gaps.

What Is Armament Competition in Kingshot?

Armament Competition is an individual progression event that becomes available after your Kingdom reaches the Age of Truegold.

You score by completing permanent account upgrades rather than through PvP or wilderness combat. Depending on your Kingdom age and unlocked systems, eligible activities can include:

  • Using Truegold on buildings
  • Using Truegold Dust for research
  • Using Tempered Truegold
  • Increasing Governor Gear maximum score
  • Ascending Heroes
  • Using Master materials
  • Using Hero Gear Forgehammers
  • Using Exclusive Hero Widgets
  • Using Mithril
  • Spending construction, research, training, and eligible Master Skill speedups

The important part is that both Armament Competition versions do not use exactly the same task list. Always open the event Tasks screen before spending rare materials.

When Does Armament Competition Unlock?

The event appears after your Kingdom enters the Age of Truegold. Newer Kingdoms that have not reached Truegold progression will not see the normal Armament Competition rotation.

Some scoring options also require later systems:

  • Truegold Dust: requires War Academy access.
  • Tempered Truegold: appears during advanced Truegold progression.
  • Master materials: require the Master system.
  • Mithril: requires eligible Mythic Hero Gear progression.

Because these systems unlock over time, two players in Kingdoms of different ages may not see exactly the same task list.

Armament Competition Schedule

Version Usual Start Duration Headline Final Reward Best Materials to Prepare
Type 1 Monday Monday–Tuesday Artisan’s Vision Hero Shards, Governor Gear, Truegold, Master materials
Type 2 Friday Two days Truegold Forgehammers, Widgets, Mithril, Truegold

Armament Competition Preparation Checklist

  1. Check whether the next event is Type 1 or Type 2.
  2. Do not immediately spend Hero Shards, Forgehammers, Widgets, Mithril, or Governor Gear materials.
  3. Keep useful Truegold upgrades ready when your building progression allows it.
  4. Save Truegold Dust if you have a worthwhile War Academy research target.
  5. Keep construction, research, and training speedups available for small milestone gaps.
  6. Identify the next Hero, Gear piece, building, or research project you genuinely want to develop.
  7. Check overlapping events before spending.
  8. Review milestones and leaderboard scores before choosing your target.
Preparation rule: Save the resource, not the upgrade. Delaying a useful Hero star, Governor Gear tier, Widget upgrade, or Truegold building for a few days can let the same permanent progression also earn Armament Competition rewards.

Type 1: Artisan’s Vision Armament Competition

The Monday Type 1 version is usually the better Armament Competition for Hero Shards, Governor Gear upgrades, and Master-system materials.

Its headline final milestone reward is Artisan’s Vision, an important material for advanced Governor Gear progression.

Kingshot Armament Competition Type 1 tasks

Kingshot Armament Competition Hero Shard tasks

Type 1 Tasks and Point Values

Task Points Notes
Increase Governor Gear maximum score by 1 3 Scores the Gear score gained, not one material used
Use 1 Truegold on a building 100 Age of Truegold progression
Use 1 Truegold Dust for research 50 Requires War Academy
Use 1 Tempered Truegold 1,500 Advanced Truegold progression
Use 1 Rare Hero Shard 15 Must be used for Hero ascension
Use 1 Epic Hero Shard 50 Must be used for Hero ascension
Use 1 Mythic Hero Shard 125 Use only on an important Hero
Use 1 Master Emblem 200 General Emblems excluded
Use 1 Master’s Manuscript 2 Requires Master system
Use 1 minute of Construction Speedups 1 Low point efficiency
Use 1 minute of Research Speedups 1 Low point efficiency
Use 1 minute of Training / Promotion Speedups 1 Low point efficiency
Use 1 minute of Master Skill Speedups 1 When available in your current task list

Best Type 1 Spending Priority

  1. Planned Governor Gear upgrades.
  2. Hero Shards for your main Heroes.
  3. Useful Truegold or Truegold Dust progression.
  4. Master materials when the system is relevant.
  5. Speedups for finishing a worthwhile milestone.

Mythic Hero Shards provide useful points, but an event is not a good reason to invest them into a Hero outside your real lineup.

If you are specifically targeting the final Type 1 reward, see the Kingshot Artisan’s Vision Guide for how that material fits into Governor Gear progression.

Type 2: Truegold Armament Competition

The Friday Type 2 event shifts the strongest scoring options toward advanced Hero Gear resources.

Kingshot Armament Competition Type 2 tasks

Kingshot Armament Competition Mithril and Widget tasks

Type 2 Tasks and Point Values

Task Points Notes
Use 1 Mithril 8,000 Highest listed value, but extremely limited
Use 1 Hero Exclusive Gear Widget 1,600 Use on a long-term Hero
Use 1 Tempered Truegold 1,500 Advanced Truegold progression
Use 1 Hero Gear Forgehammer 800 Strong medium-value scoring source
Use 1 Truegold 100 Good when the building upgrade is already planned
Use 1 Truegold Dust 50 Requires War Academy
Increase Governor Gear maximum score by 1 3 Scores the Gear score increase
Use 1 minute of Construction Speedups 1 Best for small remaining gaps
Use 1 minute of Research Speedups 1 Best for small remaining gaps
Use 1 minute of Training / Promotion Speedups 1 Best for small remaining gaps

If your live Type 2 screen shows additional tasks such as Master Skill speedups, follow the current event screen rather than assuming every Kingdom has an identical task list.

Best Type 2 Spending Priority

  1. Use Forgehammers on Hero Gear you already want to improve.
  2. Use Widgets on a Hero who remains part of your long-term lineup.
  3. Use Truegold and Truegold Dust on planned progression.
  4. Use Governor Gear materials when the upgrade is valuable.
  5. Use Mithril only when the target Hero Gear piece is already a priority.
  6. Use speedups for a small remaining milestone gap.
Comparing developed accounts: Players comparing Kingshot accounts for sale should look beyond total power. Check Truegold progression, Governor Gear, Hero Gear, Mithril investment, Widgets, Hero stars, and remaining event resources before comparing mature accounts.

Armament Competition Point Efficiency

Resource / Action Points Version Spending Advice
Mithril 8,000 each Type 2 Huge score, but spend only on long-term Hero Gear.
Exclusive Widget 1,600 each Type 2 Excellent when the Hero remains important.
Tempered Truegold 1,500 each Both Strong scoring when the building upgrade is needed.
Forgehammer 800 each Type 2 Good medium-cost scoring resource.
Master Emblem 200 each Type 1 Useful after Master progression becomes relevant.
Mythic Hero Shard 125 each Type 1 Use only on an important Hero.
Truegold 100 each Both Combines event score with building progression.
Truegold Dust 50 each Both Use on priority War Academy research.
Speedup 1 per minute Both Low efficiency; best for closing a final gap.

For comparison, 24 hours of eligible speedups equals only 1,440 points. One Widget scores 1,600 points, while one Mithril scores 8,000.

However, point efficiency and account-development efficiency are not the same thing. Never waste a rare material only because its event score looks attractive.

Armament Competition Milestone Rewards

Milestones are usually the safest Armament Competition target because the reward is guaranteed once you cross the required point threshold.

The exact milestone thresholds can vary with Town Center level and Kingdom age. Therefore, screenshots should be treated as examples rather than universal point requirements.

Type 1 Milestone Rewards

One existing Type 1 example shows milestone thresholds of approximately 470 → 3,500 → 9,000 → 14,000. Check your own event because the required totals can scale.

Type 2 Milestone Rewards

One existing Type 2 example shows approximately 650 → 4,800 → 12,000 → 19,000. Again, use the live point requirements displayed on your account.

Milestones or Ranking: Which Should You Prioritize?

For most players, milestones should come first.

A milestone has a known requirement and guaranteed reward. Leaderboard rank can change whenever another player spends resources, especially during the final hours.

  1. Calculate the points from upgrades you already want.
  2. Claim every efficient milestone those upgrades can reach.
  3. Check your leaderboard position afterward.
  4. Calculate how many extra points the next ranking bracket would require.
  5. Push only when the additional reward justifies the resources.

Armament Competition Ranking Rewards

Ranking rewards depend on your final position relative to other Governors. A minimum event score is also required before a leaderboard position becomes eligible for rewards.

Kingshot Armament Competition ranking rewards
Rank Gems Construction Research Training Gold Keys
1 50,000 20h 20h 20h 3
2 35,000 18h 18h 18h 2
3 25,000 16h 16h 16h 1
4–5 16,000 14h 14h 14h
6–10 10,000 12h 12h 12h
11–20 7,000 10h 10h 10h
21–50 4,000 8h 8h 8h
51–100 2,000 6h 6h 6h
101–200 1,000 4h 4h 4h
201–500 600 2h 2h 2h
501–1000 300 1h 1h 1h

Best Resource Timing Strategy

Armament Competition becomes much more valuable when the same resource scores in another event.

For example, an Alliance Brawl stage may reward some of the same Hero or Gear development activities. Delaying an upgrade until both events overlap can turn one resource expenditure into progress in two reward systems.

Check the Kingshot Alliance Brawl Guide before making a large upgrade push during an overlapping week.

The same logic applies to Strongest Governor. If Mithril or another rare material can score strongly in a more valuable event shortly afterward, protecting a mediocre Armament Competition rank may not be worth the cost.

Spend Immediately When

  • The upgrade is already important to your account.
  • It reaches a guaranteed milestone.
  • It scores in another useful event at the same time.
  • You are close to a ranking bracket and the reward justifies the cost.

Keep Saving When

  • You would upgrade a weak or unused Hero only for points.
  • The next milestone is too far away.
  • You need Mithril for a more important Hero Gear piece.
  • The leaderboard is moving faster than your inventory can support.
  • A more valuable event scoring window is approaching.

Armament Competition Score Planning

Before spending, calculate exactly how much score your saved resources provide.

Example: 20 Mythic Hero Shards × 125 points = 2,500 points. Five Forgehammers × 800 points = 4,000 points. Twenty-four hours of eligible speedups × 60 minutes = 1,440 points.

Always compare the remaining milestone gap with the size of the resource you are about to spend. Using one Mithril worth 8,000 points to close a 500-point gap is usually inefficient unless the Hero Gear upgrade itself was already planned.

Armament Competition vs Stand of Arms

Armament Competition and Stand of Arms are separate Kingshot events.

Feature Armament Competition Stand of Arms
Main focus Truegold, Governor Gear, Heroes, Hero Gear and speedups Governor Charms and Hero Gear Forgehammers
Duration Two days Two days
Versions Artisan’s Vision and Truegold versions Separate Charm / Forgehammer event

Do not spend Governor Charm materials expecting them to score here unless your live Armament Competition task screen specifically lists them. Use the Kingshot Stand of Arms Guide for that event.

Common Armament Competition Mistakes

Using the Wrong Version’s Task Table

Type 1 and Type 2 do not have identical scoring options. Confirm the active version before spending.

Treating Milestone Numbers as Universal

Milestone thresholds can scale with Town Center and Kingdom progression. Use screenshots as examples rather than permanent requirements.

Spending Mithril Only Because It Gives 8,000 Points

Mithril is rare. Use it because the Hero Gear upgrade is valuable, not simply because the event score is large.

Using Speedups Before Higher-Value Resources

Speedups provide only one point per minute. Calculate your milestone gap before emptying a large speedup inventory.

Ascending the Wrong Hero for Points

Hero Shards should develop your real lineup. Temporary event points do not compensate for investing Mythic Shards into a Hero you will not use.

Protecting a Leaderboard Rank at Any Cost

Ranking positions can change quickly near the end. Compare the additional reward with the value of the materials required before responding to another player’s score.

FAQ

What is Armament Competition in Kingshot?

It is a two-day progression event where players score by spending Truegold, improving Gear, using Hero Shards, spending speedups, and completing other eligible account upgrades.

When does Armament Competition unlock?

It becomes available after the Kingdom reaches the Age of Truegold. Additional scoring tasks appear as later progression systems unlock.

How long does Armament Competition last?

Each version lasts two days. Type 1 normally runs Monday–Tuesday, while Type 2 starts Friday.

What is the difference between Type 1 and Type 2?

Type 1 focuses more on Hero Shards, Governor Gear, Master materials, and Artisan’s Vision. Type 2 adds Forgehammers, Widgets, Mithril, and a Truegold-focused final milestone.

How many points does Mithril give?

Using one Mithril currently gives 8,000 points during the Type 2 Armament Competition.

Should I prioritize milestones or leaderboard ranking?

Milestones are usually better for most players because their rewards are guaranteed. Push ranking only when the extra point cost is reasonable and the next reward bracket is worth it.

Conclusion

Kingshot Armament Competition rewards preparation more than impulsive spending. Identify whether Type 1 or Type 2 is active, calculate your milestone target, and use resources only on upgrades that provide permanent value.

For most players, milestones should come before leaderboard rank. Save Mithril, Widgets, Hero Shards, Gear materials, Truegold, and speedups until their best scoring window, and combine upgrades with other events whenever possible.
