Kingshot Stable levels and Cavalry upgrades

The Kingshot Stable is the military building used to train Cavalry troops. It becomes available at Town Center Level 9 and controls your Cavalry tier, training capacity, and part of your permanent Training Speed.

Upgrading the Stable unlocks stronger Cavalry units from T1 to T10. Stable Level 13 also unlocks troop promotion, while Level 19 adds the Ambusher skill that allows Cavalry to bypass the enemy Infantry frontline.

This guide covers Stable Levels 1 through 30, construction costs, Cavalry unlocks, troop promotion, Truegold upgrades, training strategy, Town Center requirements, and the difference between Stable Truegold troops and T11 Cavalry.

The Stable unlocks at Town Center Level 9. Prioritize Levels 13, 19, 22, 26, and 30 because they unlock troop promotion, Ambusher, T8, T9, and T10 Cavalry. Keep the Stable close to your Town Center because it repeatedly becomes a required building.

What Does the Stable Do in Kingshot?

The Stable has four main functions:

  • Trains Cavalry troops
  • Unlocks higher Cavalry tiers
  • Increases Training Capacity
  • Increases Training Speed

Cavalry normally occupies the middle row of a combat formation. Infantry protects the frontline, Cavalry applies pressure from the middle, and Archers deal damage from the back row.

Cavalry becomes particularly dangerous after unlocking Ambusher because it can sometimes bypass Infantry and attack enemy Archers directly.

When Does the Stable Unlock?

The Stable unlocks at Town Center Level 9.

Once the building is available, it can immediately be upgraded through Stable Level 9. After that, the Stable normally cannot exceed your current Town Center level.

Correction: Some older Stable tables show Town Center Level 7 beside the first seven rows. These appear to be internal level prerequisites. Players cannot construct and use the Stable until Town Center Level 9.

Kingshot Stable Upgrade Requirements

The table below lists the base requirements from Stable Level 1 through Level 30.

Actual construction times can be reduced through research, VIP bonuses, pets, Masters, temporary buffs, kingdom titles, Alliance Help, and Construction Speedups.

How Cavalry Skills Work

Charge

Charge becomes available with T1 Rookie Cavalry.

The skill increases Cavalry damage against Archers by 10%. This creates the basic troop-counter relationship:

  • Infantry is effective against Cavalry.
  • Cavalry is effective against Archers.
  • Archers are effective against Infantry.

Charge does not guarantee that Cavalry immediately attacks the enemy back row. Under normal targeting, troops still attack the front row first.

Ambusher

Ambusher unlocks with T7 Dauntless Cavalry at Stable Level 19.

It gives Cavalry a 20% chance to bypass Infantry and attack enemy Archers directly.

This makes Level 19 one of the most valuable Stable breakpoints. Even when the enemy Infantry remains alive, Ambusher can apply pressure to the more fragile Archer back row.

Is Ambusher Better Than Charge?

The two skills perform different jobs:

  • Charge increases damage when Cavalry attacks Archers.
  • Ambusher creates a chance to reach those Archers before the frontline is defeated.

They work together. Ambusher provides access to the back row, while Charge increases the damage dealt after the target is selected.

Understanding Cavalry Stats by Level

Every new Cavalry tier improves its basic combat values and troop Power. However, the final statistics displayed in your account also depend on permanent bonuses from:

  • Cavalry Heroes
  • Academy research
  • War Academy research
  • Hero Gear
  • Governor Gear
  • Governor Charms
  • Pets
  • Masters
  • Alliance Technology
  • Skins and city bonuses

Because of these bonuses, two players using the same Cavalry tier can have very different Attack, Defense, Health, and Lethality.

The most reliable comparison is to open the troop details inside your own Stable and review the current statistics after all account bonuses are applied.

Should You Always Use the Highest Cavalry Tier?

Use your highest unlocked tier for normal combat and permanent army growth.

Lower tiers are mainly useful when:

  • You are preparing future promotion points.
  • A training event rewards a specific strategy.
  • You need a short queue to finish at a precise time.
  • You are preserving resources before unlocking the next tier.

Training Capacity vs Training Speed

Training Capacity

Training Capacity controls how many Cavalry troops can be placed in one Stable queue.

A larger capacity provides:

  • Larger training batches
  • Longer uninterrupted queues
  • Fewer logins needed to restart training
  • More troops ready to collect during scoring events

Capacity does not make each troop finish faster. A larger batch naturally creates a longer timer.

Training Speed

Training Speed reduces the time required to train each Cavalry troop.

Increasing Training Speed provides:

  • More Cavalry produced per hour
  • Faster rebuilding after permanent losses
  • Better value from Training Speedups
  • More efficient event preparation

For continuous troop production, Training Speed is generally more important. Capacity remains useful for keeping the Stable occupied for longer periods.

How to Increase Cavalry Training Capacity

Upgrade the Stable

Base Stable capacity increases from 17 at Level 1 to 209 at Level 30.

Truegold upgrades raise it further, reaching 409 at TG8 in the commonly documented progression.

Research Camp Expansion

Camp Expansion technologies in the Academy increase the capacity of all three troop-training buildings.

This bonus applies to the Barracks, Range, and Stable.

Use Training Capacity Enhance

The Training Capacity Enhance item allows you to create a larger troop queue for a limited activation period.

It increases queue size and the resulting queue duration. It should not be confused with a Training Speed bonus.

Use it before sleeping, going offline, or preparing a large queue for an upcoming troop event.

How to Increase Cavalry Training Speed

Upgrade the Stable

The Stable’s permanent Training Speed bonus increases from 0.3% at Level 1 to 8% at Level 30.

Further Truegold upgrades continue increasing the building bonus.

Research Trainer Tools

Trainer Tools technologies in the Academy increase troop Training Speed.

Researching them before using a large speedup stockpile improves the value of every future training queue.

Activate Bonuses Before Starting

The training timer is calculated when the queue begins. Activate available bonuses before confirming the batch.

Useful bonuses may include:

  • Academy Training Speed research
  • Kingdom training titles
  • Temporary city bonuses
  • Kingdom skills
  • Master effects
  • Stable building bonuses

Use Training Speedups First

Use dedicated Training Speedups before General Speedups. General Speedups can also be used on construction, research, and healing, making them more flexible.

How Cavalry Promotion Works

Troop promotion unlocks at Stable Level 13 together with T5 Indomitable Cavalry.

Promotion converts an existing lower-tier troop into a higher tier you have already unlocked. You pay the difference in resources and training time between the two tiers.

Benefits of Cavalry Promotion

  • Removes weaker troops from your army
  • Improves combat strength without increasing troop count
  • Usually takes less time than training the target tier from zero
  • Can generate efficient points during troop events
  • Reduces the number of low-tier troops occupying Infirmary space

Should You Train or Promote Cavalry?

Situation Best Choice
Your total Cavalry count is low Train new Cavalry
You have many outdated Cavalry troops Promote them
A troop-promotion scoring stage is active Promote saved troops
You suffered permanent troop losses Train replacements
A higher Cavalry tier unlocks soon Delay a large queue

Stable Requirements for Town Center Upgrades

The Stable repeatedly becomes a Town Center prerequisite.

Important requirements include:

  • Town Center Level 11 requires Stable Level 10.
  • Town Center Level 15 requires Stable Level 14.
  • Town Center Level 19 requires Stable Level 18.
  • Town Center Level 23 requires Stable Level 22.
  • Town Center Level 27 requires Stable Level 26.
  • Town Center TG2 requires Stable TG1.
  • Town Center TG5 requires Stable TG4.
  • Town Center TG8 requires Stable TG7.

Do not let the Stable fall too far behind, even when Cavalry is not your main troop type. An underleveled Stable can block Town Center progression.

Use the Kingshot Town Center requirements guide to prepare each prerequisite before the current construction timer ends.

Kingshot Stable Truegold Costs

After Stable Level 30, the building can continue into Truegold progression when the matching Town Center tier is available.

Each completed Truegold tier contains five construction steps. The table below combines all five steps so the values represent the full cost of completing the tier.

Common TG1-TG8 Progression

TG9 and TG10 Availability

Current community databases are not fully synchronized. Some sources list TG8 as the maximum Stable tier, while newer datasets for older kingdoms include TG9 and TG10.

Check your kingdom’s Monument progression and the maximum level shown inside the Stable before planning either tier.

Tier Town Center Truegold Tempered TG Bread Wood Stone Iron Base Time Capacity Speed
TG9 TG9 567 79 250M 250M 50M 12.5M 9d 18h 434 10.6%

Are Stable Truegold Cavalry the Same as T11?

No. Stable Truegold levels and T11 Cavalry are separate progression systems.

Stable Truegold Cavalry

Completing Stable Truegold tiers improves your existing T10 Cavalry line.

These upgrades also increase:

  • Training Capacity
  • Training Speed
  • Stable building Power
  • The strength of the corresponding Truegold troop level

T11 Truegold Cavalry

T11 Cavalry requires the War Academy and its separate Truegold Cavalry research tree.

War Academy progression uses:

  • Truegold Dust
  • Gold
  • Bread
  • Wood
  • Stone
  • Iron
  • Research time and speedups

Upgrading the Stable to TG8, TG9, or TG10 does not automatically unlock T11 Cavalry.

Best Stable Upgrade Strategy

Prioritize New Cavalry Tiers

The most valuable normal Stable levels are:

  • Level 4 for T2 Cavalry
  • Level 7 for T3 Cavalry
  • Level 11 for T4 Cavalry
  • Level 13 for T5 Cavalry and promotion
  • Level 16 for T6 Cavalry
  • Level 19 for T7 Cavalry and Ambusher
  • Level 22 for T8 Cavalry
  • Level 26 for T9 Cavalry
  • Level 30 for T10 Cavalry

Stable Level 19 is especially valuable because Ambusher changes Cavalry targeting rather than providing only a numerical stat increase.

Prepare Town Center Requirements Early

While the current Town Center is upgrading, use your second construction queue to prepare the next Stable requirement.

This prevents the Stable from blocking Levels 15, 19, 23, and 27.

Do Not Overprioritize Cavalry

Cavalry is useful for pressuring Archers, but most formations still need enough Infantry to protect the army.

A balanced development order is usually:

  1. Infantry durability
  2. Archer damage
  3. Cavalry support and back-row pressure

Change the order when your strongest Heroes, alliance role, or primary formation is Cavalry-focused.

Prepare Resources Before the Timer Ends

Later Stable upgrades require large amounts of Bread and Wood. Gather the next level’s resources while the existing construction timer is running.

Keep resource items unopened until needed so they remain protected in your inventory.

Activate Construction Bonuses First

Before starting a long Stable upgrade:

  • Activate available Construction Speed bonuses.
  • Request the correct kingdom title when available.
  • Check active pet and Master bonuses.
  • Start the Stable upgrade.
  • Receive Alliance Help.
  • Apply Construction Speedups afterward.

Use Event Timing

Stable upgrades can provide points during events that reward Construction Power, Truegold use, or construction speedups.

Relevant events can include:

  • Hall of Governors
  • Strongest Governor
  • Kingdom of Power preparation
  • Armament Competition
  • Alliance Mobilization

Check the live task description before starting because event scoring categories can change.

Best Cavalry Training Routine

  1. Keep the Stable queue active whenever possible.
  2. Train your highest useful Cavalry tier for normal growth.
  3. Use lower tiers only when preparing future promotions.
  4. Save non-urgent promotions for troop-scoring events.
  5. Activate Training Speed bonuses before creating the queue.
  6. Use Capacity Enhance when you need a longer offline batch.
  7. Use Training Speedups before General Speedups.
  8. Avoid starting a long queue just before unlocking a stronger tier.

Common Stable Mistakes

Using Town Center Level 7 as the Unlock Requirement

The Stable becomes available to players at Town Center Level 9. Older data tables may display lower internal prerequisites for the first Stable levels.

Thinking Cavalry Always Attacks Archers First

Cavalry normally follows standard targeting and attacks the frontline. Ambusher only provides a 20% chance to bypass Infantry.

Starting a Long Queue Before a Tier Unlock

A large batch of weaker Cavalry may continue training after a stronger tier becomes available. Check the remaining Town Center and Stable timers first.

Promoting Every Troop Immediately

Promotion can score during Hall of Governors, Strongest Governor, Kingdom of Power preparation, and other troop events. Save non-urgent promotions for the correct stage.

Reading a Per-Step Truegold Cost as a Tier Total

Stable TG1 costs 59 Truegold per step. Because the tier contains five steps, the complete TG1 cost is 295 Truegold.

Confusing Truegold Cavalry With T11

Stable Truegold tiers strengthen the normal Cavalry line. T11 Cavalry requires separate War Academy research using Truegold Dust.

Ignoring Infantry and Archer Development

Cavalry cannot replace the other troop types. Infantry protects the formation, while Archers usually provide the highest sustained damage.

Assuming Every Kingdom Has the Same TG Cap

Older kingdoms can receive later Truegold tiers before newer kingdoms. Check your in-game Stable and kingdom progression before planning TG9 or TG10.

Players entering a mature kingdom may face large gaps in Cavalry tiers, Stable Truegold levels, T11 research, Heroes, Gear, and troop count. Those comparing established progression options can review a verified kingshot account for sale before rebuilding every military system from the beginning.

Conclusion

The Kingshot Stable controls Cavalry training, troop levels, Training Capacity, Training Speed, and troop promotion.

The building unlocks at Town Center Level 9. Prioritize the Stable levels that unlock new troop tiers, especially Level 13 for promotion, Level 19 for Ambusher, Level 26 for T9 Cavalry, and Level 30 for T10 Cavalry.

Charge increases damage against Archers, while Ambusher creates a chance to bypass Infantry and attack the Archer back row directly. This makes Cavalry an important counter unit, but it should still be developed alongside a durable Infantry frontline and reliable Archer damage.

After Level 30, calculate all five steps before starting a Truegold tier. TG1 costs 295 Truegold in total, and the commonly documented progression reaches TG8. Very old kingdoms may also display TG9 and TG10, so confirm your current in-game cap before committing Truegold and Tempered Truegold.
