Whiteout Survival T12 Lancer, officially called Exalted Lancer, is the late-game troop upgrade that follows
Helios Lancer. It is unlocked through the Lancer section of Flame Tech in the War Academy.
Exalted Lancer research improves Lancer Attack, Defense, Health, and Lethality. It also adds troop deployment capacity and unlocks
Meridian Phalanx, an exclusive T12 skill designed for coordinated rallies and garrisons.
This page focuses only on the Lancer branch. For general T12 unlock requirements and comparisons between all three troop types, use the
Whiteout Survival Exalted Troops guide.
Unlock T12 Lancer by completing all five initial Exalted Lancer technologies to Level 5. Then develop the four Molten I nodes to unlock Meridian Phalanx. T12 Lancer is most valuable for coordinated rallies and garrisons, especially when your Alliance can stack the skill from several members.
What Is T12 Lancer in Whiteout Survival?
T12 Lancer is the Exalted version of Helios Lancer. It is part of the advanced Flame Tech research system in the War Academy.

T12 Lancer is sometimes described as a support troop. More precisely, its exclusive skill has a support-oriented effect. The research branch still provides direct Lancer statistics, including Attack, Defense, Health, and Lethality.
How to Unlock T12 Lancer
Exalted Lancer cannot be unlocked from an unrelated T11 troop. The account must already have the matching Helios Lancer progression.
T12 Lancer Unlock Requirements
- Wait until your state becomes eligible for Exalted Troops.
- Unlock Helios Lancer through the earlier War Academy research tree.
- Open the Lancer section of Flame Tech.
- Complete all five initial Exalted Lancer nodes to Level 5.
- Promote or train Exalted Lancer after the troop unlock becomes available.
The state-age requirement is controlled by the game. Therefore, the War Academy interface should be treated as the final source for whether T12 is currently available in your state.
Important: Helios Infantry or Helios Marksman cannot be used to unlock Exalted Lancer. You need the corresponding Helios Lancer troop.
T12 Lancer Research Tree
The complete Exalted Lancer branch is divided into six major stages.

Molten I Lancer Research
After the Exalted unlock layer, the branch continues into four Molten I technologies:
- Molten Lance I: Lancer Attack.
- Molten Tactics I: Lancer Lethality.
- Molten Helmets I: Lancer Health.
- Molten Vambrace I: Lancer Defense.
Each Molten I technology has 20 levels and reaches a maximum bonus of 20%.

Molten I Skill Requirements
Meridian Phalanx is gated by the progress of all four Molten I technologies:
- All four at Level 5 unlock Meridian Phalanx Level 1.
- All four at Level 10 unlock Meridian Phalanx Level 2.
- All four at Level 15 unlock Meridian Phalanx Level 3.
This means the most efficient path to the exclusive skill is balanced Molten I progress. Raising one technology far ahead of the others will not unlock the next Meridian Phalanx level.
Meridian Phalanx Explained
Meridian Phalanx is the exclusive Exalted Lancer skill. At the start of battle, it provides cover for the other troop classes by:
- Reducing damage received by Infantry.
- Increasing damage dealt by Marksmen.
The skill has three levels. Each level strengthens both effects, reaching a listed 3% Infantry damage reduction and 3% Marksman damage increase at Level 3.
Where Meridian Phalanx Works
Meridian Phalanx activates only in:
It does not activate during ordinary solo attacks. Therefore, players who mostly fight alone will receive less practical value from the skill than active rally and garrison participants.
Meridian Phalanx Stacking
The skill can stack from up to eight participating rally or garrison members.
When more than eight eligible players participate, the game selects the eight members with the highest Meridian Phalanx skill levels.
For example, an Alliance with eight Level 3 contributors receives more value than an Alliance with a large number of members who have only unlocked Level 1.

Is Meridian Phalanx Worth It?
Meridian Phalanx is worth developing when you regularly participate in coordinated rallies or garrisons.
Its value is highest when:
- Your Alliance already uses several T12 members.
- You frequently join Fortress, Castle, Stronghold, or State-versus-State battles.
- Your rally compositions include substantial Infantry and Marksman numbers.
- Your Alliance lacks high-level Meridian Phalanx contributors.
- You can reach a complete skill milestone rather than leaving all Molten I nodes unfinished.
It is less urgent for players who mainly use solo attacks or rarely participate in organized Alliance battles.
Molten II Lancer Research
Molten II becomes available after Meridian Phalanx Level 1.
The four Molten II technologies provide:
- Molten Lance II: Up to 50% Lancer Attack.
- Molten Tactics II: Up to 50% Lancer Lethality.
- Molten Helmets II: Up to 50% Lancer Health.
- Molten Vambrace II: Up to 50% Lancer Defense.
Each technology contains 50 levels. Meridian Phalanx progression gates parts of the tree:
- Meridian Phalanx Level 1 opens the first Molten II levels.
- Meridian Phalanx Level 2 is required around the Level 15 milestone.
- Meridian Phalanx Level 3 is required around the Level 30 milestone.

Best Molten II Priority
For a balanced rally and garrison account, use this order:
- Molten Helmets II for Lancer Health.
- Molten Vambrace II for Lancer Defense.
- Molten Lance II for Lancer Attack.
- Molten Tactics II for Lancer Lethality.
Offensive players may move Attack and Lethality earlier. However, Lancer loses some of its formation value when durability is ignored completely.
Solar Supremacy
Solar Supremacy increases troop deployment capacity.
It contains 15 levels, with each level adding 200 capacity. The maximum bonus is 3,000.

Solar Supremacy is useful, but it is a deep research milestone. Most players should prioritize the T12 unlock and Meridian Phalanx before treating Solar Supremacy as the next immediate target.
Molten III Lancer Research
Molten III is the final major stat layer. It becomes available after Solar Supremacy reaches Level 15.
The technologies are:
- Molten Lance III, up to 50% Lancer Attack.
- Molten Tactics III, up to 50% Lancer Lethality.
- Molten Helmets III, up to 50% Lancer Health.
- Molten Vambrace III, up to 50% Lancer Defense.

Best T12 Lancer Research Order
Recommended General Order
- Complete all five Exalted unlock technologies to Level 5.
- Raise all four Molten I technologies to Level 5.
- Unlock Meridian Phalanx Level 1.
- Raise all four Molten I technologies to Level 10.
- Unlock Meridian Phalanx Level 2.
- Raise all four Molten I technologies to Level 15.
- Unlock Meridian Phalanx Level 3.
- Finish the remaining Molten I levels.
- Develop Molten II according to your combat role.
- Complete Solar Supremacy when deployment capacity becomes a priority.
- Enter Molten III only after the rest of the account is ready.
This order reaches the exclusive skill efficiently without leaving one stat line far ahead of the requirements for the other technologies.
Support and Garrison Priority
- Meridian Phalanx.
- Lancer Health.
- Lancer Defense.
- Troop Deployment Capacity.
- Lancer Attack.
- Lancer Lethality.
Offensive Priority
- Lancer Attack.
- Lancer Lethality.
- Meridian Phalanx.
- Lancer Health.
- Lancer Defense.
- Troop Deployment Capacity.
Pure offense can increase personal Lancer statistics. Nevertheless, it should not completely replace the balanced progression needed to unlock Meridian Phalanx.
Should You Unlock T12 Lancer First?
T12 Lancer is not automatically the best first Exalted troop for every account.
| Player type |
T12 Lancer priority |
Reason |
| Alliance support specialist |
High |
Meridian Phalanx supports Infantry and Marksmen |
| Regular rally or garrison member |
High when requested |
The Alliance may need additional skill stacks |
| Rally leader |
Situational |
Depends on formation, heroes, and existing T12 coverage |
| Damage-focused account |
Usually after Marksman |
Marksman provides more direct damage progression |
| Defensive account |
Usually after Infantry |
Infantry generally offers more direct frontline durability |
| F2P or low spender |
Only with a clear plan |
Rare materials should remain concentrated in one branch |
T12 Lancer becomes a strong first choice when your Alliance specifically needs Meridian Phalanx stacks or when Lancer is clearly your strongest troop class.
Otherwise, compare the immediate benefits of Infantry durability and Marksman damage before spending the unlock materials.
T12 Lancer Strategy for F2P Players
Free-to-play players should treat Exalted Lancer as a milestone-based project.
A practical progression plan is:
- Confirm that T12 Lancer matches your Alliance role.
- Save enough resources to complete all five Exalted unlock nodes.
- Avoid opening several T12 branches at the same time.
- Raise all four Molten I nodes evenly.
- Treat Meridian Phalanx Level 1 as the first major post-unlock target.
- Continue to Levels 2 and 3 only when your Alliance benefits from the stronger stack.
- Delay Molten III until heroes, gear, Charms, and other combat systems are well developed.
For many low-spending accounts, T12 Lancer plus Meridian Phalanx Level 1 provides a more realistic stopping point than attempting to max the entire branch immediately.
Reaching Exalted Lancer requires Helios research, Steel, Refined Fire Crystals, Fire Crystal Shards, resources, and long research timers. Players comparing that progression with an established late-game city may review a wos account for sale, while checking its state age, T11 and T12 troops, Flame Tech, heroes, troop statistics, transfer eligibility, and resource inventory.
Best Resource Strategy
Protect Refined Fire Crystals
Refined Fire Crystals are required by several late-game systems. Check your building and War Academy plans before committing them to Lancer research.
Track Fire Crystal Shards
Deep Molten research consumes tens of thousands of Fire Crystal Shards. Calculate the complete milestone rather than checking only the next research level.
Save Standard Resources
Meat, Wood, Coal, and Iron become major costs after the initial Exalted layer. A player can have enough rare materials but still become blocked by basic resources.
Use Research Events
When practical, complete major T12 research during relevant research, power-growth, or State-versus-State preparation phases.
However, do not delay an upgrade required for an important Alliance battle merely to receive a small event reward.
Use Research Speedups Efficiently
Meridian Phalanx alone requires 60 days of base research time. Request available Alliance Help and activate research-speed bonuses before applying speedups.
T12 Lancer vs Infantry and Marksman
| T12 troop |
Main specialty |
Best fit |
| Exalted Infantry |
Frontline durability |
Defensive players and garrison support |
| Exalted Lancer |
Formation interaction |
Coordinated rally and garrison support |
| Exalted Marksman |
Backline damage |
Offensive rally and damage-focused accounts |
Lancer is not objectively better or worse than the other two. Its main advantage is Meridian Phalanx, which supports Infantry survival and Marksman damage in the same coordinated battle.
Common T12 Lancer Mistakes
Treating Lancer as a Pure Damage Branch
Lancer receives offensive statistics, but Meridian Phalanx is its unique T12 advantage. Do not evaluate the branch only by Lancer Attack and Lethality.
Assuming Meridian Phalanx Works in Solo Attacks
The skill activates only during rallies and garrisons. It does not improve normal solo attacks.
Advancing One Molten I Node Too Far
Meridian Phalanx requires all four Molten I technologies at the relevant level. Balanced progress reaches the skill faster.
Ignoring Alliance Skill Coverage
Only the eight highest applicable skill levels take effect. Check whether your Alliance already has enough high-level Lancer contributors.
Starting Without Enough Standard Resources
Molten and skill research consume large amounts of Meat, Wood, Coal, and Iron in addition to rare materials.
Spreading Resources Across All Three T12 Branches
Several incomplete branches may provide less practical value than one completed troop unlock and skill milestone.
Rushing Molten III
Molten III is extremely expensive. Strengthen heroes, gear, Charms, pets, and other combat systems before committing to the final layer.
Copying Another Player’s Research Order
A rally leader, garrison player, regular joiner, and solo-focused player may need different priorities. Match the research plan to your actual role.

How do you unlock Exalted Lancer?
Unlock Helios Lancer first, wait until T12 becomes available in your state, and complete all five initial Exalted Lancer technologies to Level 5.
What does Meridian Phalanx do?
Meridian Phalanx reduces damage received by Infantry and increases damage dealt by Marksmen during rallies and garrisons.
Does Meridian Phalanx work in solo attacks?
No. Meridian Phalanx only activates during rallies and while garrisoning.
Does Meridian Phalanx stack?
Yes. The effect can stack from up to eight members. When more are eligible, the eight highest skill levels take priority.
How many Meridian Phalanx levels are there?
There are three levels. They require all four Molten I technologies at Levels 5, 10, and 15 respectively.
Should T12 Lancer be my first Exalted troop?
Choose it first when your Alliance needs Meridian Phalanx support or Lancer is your strongest troop class. Infantry or Marksman may provide more immediate value for defensive or damage-focused players.
Is Solar Supremacy worth upgrading?
Yes, because it provides up to 3,000 troop deployment capacity. However, it is locked behind deep Molten II progress and is usually a later milestone.
Conclusion
Whiteout Survival T12 Lancer is a specialized Exalted Troop branch built around Lancer statistics, deployment capacity, and Meridian Phalanx.
The first priority is completing all five Exalted technologies to Level 5. After unlocking the troop, develop the four Molten I nodes evenly so Meridian Phalanx can be unlocked without unnecessary delays.
The skill provides its greatest value during coordinated rallies and garrisons, where it reduces Infantry damage received and raises Marksman damage dealt. Up to eight participating members can contribute the effect, which makes Alliance coordination essential.
For most players, the practical milestones are the T12 Lancer unlock, Meridian Phalanx Level 1, and then higher skill levels when the Alliance needs them. Molten II, Solar Supremacy, and Molten III should follow only when resources and the rest of the account are ready.
