What Is Snowbusters in Whiteout Survival?
Snowbusters is a recurring event based on a snow-clearing mini game. Your main objective is to progress through Areas by clearing enough snow while managing several resources at the same time:- Fuel
- Health

- Survivors
- Bonus items
- Maps and Map Fragments
- Frozen Survivors
- Beasts
- Snowmen
- Buried Chests
- Fuel
- Coal
- Bonus items
- Snowstorms

How Snowbusters Works
A simple Snowbusters progression flow looks like this:Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Step | What You Do | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Spend Fuel | Allows you to clear snow, fight enemies, and rescue Survivors |
| 2 | Reveal the Area | Finds Survivors, Coal, Chests, Maps, enemies, and items |
| 3 | Rescue Survivors | Improves your Snowbuster effectiveness in that Area |
| 4 | Collect Coal | Lets you upgrade the Fire |
| 5 | Manage Health | Prevents severe injury and Coal loss |
| 6 | Reach 95% Clearing | Allows Rocket V2 to finish the remaining snow |
How Long Does Snowbusters Last?
Each current Snowbusters event lasts 3 days. Snowbusters returns as recurring seasonal content, with different Map themes rotating between event runs. This matters for Fuel management because you have a limited event window. At the same time, not every Snowbusters resource is lost when those three days end.Snowbusters Fuel Guide
Fuel is the main limiting resource in Snowbusters. You need Fuel for activities such as:- Clearing snow
- Attacking Beasts
- Attacking Snowmen
- Rescuing frozen Survivors
200 Fuel
Base regeneration is:8 Fuel every 5 minutes
That is equivalent to approximately:96 Fuel per hour
before additional Snowbuster Gear effects or other Fuel sources are considered. How to Get More Snowbusters Fuel
Additional Fuel can come from:- Natural regeneration
- Snowbuster Gear bonuses
- Daily Missions
- Snowmen found within Areas
- Fuel Supply Chests
- Event packs
- Other event rewards
Do Not Open All Fuel Supply Chests
This is one of the most important Snowbusters tips. Normal opened Fuel does not carry over to the next event. However, eligible unopened Fuel Supply Chests can remain in your backpack. Therefore, only open Fuel when you expect to use it during the current event.Best Snowbusters Fuel Strategy
For F2P players, Fuel efficiency is usually more important than clearing every tile manually. Use these priorities:- Log in regularly so natural Fuel regeneration does not sit unused.
- Rescue Survivors early so the rest of the Area becomes easier.
- Use Coal only when additional Fire strength or recovery is actually needed.
- Use compatible bonus items together.
- Take advantage of easy Areas.
- Use Rocket V2 once the required snow-clearing threshold is reached.
- Do not open extra Fuel Supply Chests without a reason.
How Many Levels Are in Snowbusters Whiteout Survival?
Century Games does not currently publish a fixed final maximum number of Snowbusters Areas. This is important because some guides incorrectly treat Area 24 as the final level. Area 24 is instead an important progression milestone. It matters because reaching Area 24 has been tied to permanent convenience unlocks such as Raid and Superplow progression. Therefore, the safest answer to “how many levels are in Snowbusters?” is:What Is Superplow in Snowbusters?
Superplow is an automatic Snowbusters clearing feature designed to reduce repetitive manual Area clearing. It should not be confused with the temporary Super Snowbuster bonus item.Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Feature | What It Is |
|---|---|
| Superplow | Automatic Area-clearing convenience feature |
| Super Snowbuster | Temporary stage item that increases Snowbuster range and Movement Speed |
How to Unlock Snowbusters Superplow
The current permanent Superplow rules allow it to unlock if either condition is met:- Your Chief has previously reached Area 24 in Snowbusters.
- Your state’s Snowbusters event has reached Season 3.
Should You Always Use Superplow?
No. Superplow is primarily a convenience tool, not a button you should press automatically on every Area. Before using it, compare the displayed Fuel requirement with the value of manual play. Manual clearing can still be attractive when:- The Area is easy.
- You can collect Coal efficiently.
- Surplus Coal can help your Fuel economy.
- You want to collect and control bonus-item timing manually.
- The Superplow Fuel requirement feels too expensive for your current reserve.
Snowbusters Raid and Area 24
Area 24 is also associated with the Snowbusters Raid system. Recent Snowbusters improvements were designed so players who had already reached Area 24 would not need to repeat that full progression simply to regain Raid access every event. If you have reached this milestone, check the current event interface for your permanent Raid and Superplow options.Rocket V2 and the 95% Rule
You do not need to manually clear every snow tile. Once you reach 95% snow-clearing progress, Rocket V2 can clear the remaining snow and finish the Area. Recent Snowbusters improvements have also made Rocket V2 more useful for completing remaining exploration content in the affected Area. This changes the best strategy considerably. Instead of wasting Fuel searching for every final tile:- Clear efficiently toward important objectives.
- Rescue useful Survivors.
- Collect important Chests, enemies, and items where practical.
- Reach 95% clearing.
- Use Rocket V2.
Coal and Fire Strategy
Coal is collected while clearing snow and defeating certain Snowbusters enemies. Its primary use is upgrading the Fire within the current Area. Fire upgrades can improve your ability to survive and clear the Area by strengthening the safe zone and related effects.Coal → Upgrade Fire → Better Area support
Should You Spend Coal Immediately?
Not always. If your health is safe and the Area is easy, spending every piece of Coal on Fire upgrades can be unnecessary. Surplus Coal can provide additional value at the end of an Area, so consider your health and Fuel situation first.Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Situation | Recommended Choice |
|---|---|
| Health is stable | Save Coal unless the Fire upgrade provides meaningful value |
| Health is dropping quickly | Upgrade the Fire |
| Area is nearly finished | Avoid unnecessary late Fire upgrades |
| Difficult enemies remain | Use Coal if the improved Fire helps you survive |
Why You Should Rescue Survivors First
Frozen Survivors are one of the highest-priority discoveries in a new Area. After being rescued, Survivors join your Snowbusters Squad for that Area and improve your clearing capability. That makes an early Survivor more valuable than the same Survivor discovered immediately before the Area ends. A simple opening strategy is:- Clear toward visible or likely Survivor locations.
- Pick up useful items along the route.
- Rescue Survivors early.
- Use the improved Snowbuster capability for the rest of the Area.
Snowbusters Health and Severe Injury
Do not ignore your Health while chasing Fuel efficiency. If your Buster’s HP reaches zero, the character becomes severely injured and must recover near the closest Fire. Coal collected during the Area is also dropped into the snow. Older versions allowed most of that Coal to be recovered, but dying still wastes time and reduces efficiency. Use the safe area around the Fire, Medkits, Snowshields, and Fire upgrades before your Health reaches a dangerous level.Snowbusters Bonus Items

| Bonus Item | Effect |
|---|---|
| Super Snowbuster | Expands Snowbuster range and increases Movement Speed by 20% for 20 seconds |
| Ultra Magnet | Expands loot collection radius for 30 seconds |
| Infini-Fuel | Provides unlimited Fuel for supported Snowbusters actions for 20 seconds |
| Portable Snowshield | Blocks three Beast attacks or Snowstorm damage instances |
| Medkit | Restores 40% of maximum Health |
| Rocket | Clears snow within its affected area |
Do Snowbusters Items Stack?
Different Snowbusters items can be active at the same time. For example, combining Super Snowbuster + Infini-Fuel can create an excellent clearing window because you gain wider clearing range while temporarily avoiding Fuel consumption. However, do not confuse this with stacking multiple copies of the same item. Collecting another copy of an already active item replaces or refreshes the existing effect rather than creating a second independent stack. Portable Snowshield also does not stack with itself. A new Shield replaces the old one and restores its protection.Best Snowbusters Item Combos

| Combination | Best Use |
|---|---|
| Super Snowbuster + Infini-Fuel | Fast large-area clearing without normal Fuel consumption |
| Rocket + Ultra Magnet | Rapidly reveal an area and collect nearby rewards |
| Portable Snowshield + Medkit | Survival when Beasts or Snowstorms create heavy damage |
Snowbuster Gear Upgrade Guide

Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Snowbuster Gear | Current Effect | Best When |
|---|---|---|
| Snowbuster | Increases Attack and Snowbuster Range | Clearing and enemy damage feel too slow |
| Gloves | Increases Health and reduces Fuel consumption | You are burning Fuel too quickly or dying |
| Coat | Increases Damage Mitigation and Fuel Recovery Speed | Fuel recovery or incoming damage is your bottleneck |
| Snow Boots | Increases Movement Speed and healing near the Fire | Movement and Health recovery are slowing progress |
Best Snowbuster Gear Upgrade Priority
There is no perfect upgrade order for every account. The best upgrade is the one solving your current Snowbusters problem.Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Your Problem | Prioritize |
|---|---|
| Fuel runs out too quickly | Gloves and Coat |
| Snow clearing is slow | Snowbuster |
| Enemies are too dangerous | Gloves and Coat |
| Moving around takes too long | Snow Boots |
| You wait too long for Fuel regeneration | Coat |
Do Snowbuster Gear Upgrades Carry Over?
No. Snowbuster Gear development resets when the current Snowbusters event ends. Upgrade aggressively enough to improve the current run, but do not treat Snowbuster Gear like permanent Chief Gear or Hero Gear.Easy Snowbusters Areas Every 5 Levels
Every fifth Area uses an easier format with additional bonus-item support. These Areas can provide:- Infini-Fuel
- Rockets
- Ultra Magnets
- Super Snowbusters
Whiteout Survival Snowbusters Maps
Maps are part of the long-term Snowbusters collection system. Beasts can drop Maps connected to the active Snowbusters theme. The event currently rotates through four themes:- Rebuilding Paradise
- Joe Attacks!
- Mercenary Tales
- Wandering Convoys
Snowbusters Map Search

Duplicate Map Collections automatically convert into Map Fragments.
You can spend those fragments through Map Search for another chance at:
- Missing Maps from the current theme
- Other useful event and account rewards
Do Snowbusters Map Fragments Carry Over?
Yes. Map Fragments are not removed when the Snowbusters event ends. Your Map Collection progress also persists between seasons. This makes Maps one of the event’s true long-term progression systems, unlike temporary Fuel and Snowbuster Gear. Can Map Search Give Maps From Another Theme?
No. Map Search only gives Map Collections connected to the theme currently active in Snowbusters. If you are missing Maps from another theme, you need to wait until that theme rotates back.Snowbusters Rewards
Snowbusters combines temporary event progression with several permanent rewards. Depending on the active season and theme, rewards can include:- Gems
- Theme stars
- Map Collections
- Map Fragments
- City skins
- March skins
- Avatar Frames
- Nameplates
- Daybreak Island building pieces
- General account progression items
Snowbusters Island Building

Snowbusters can also provide a themed Daybreak Island building.
The documented event format awards the building through the 20-star encyclopedia milestone and additional building pieces through certain Area completions.
Its upgrade system is important:
The Snowbusters island building uses its own event building pieces rather than normal Island Mythic General Shards.
Therefore, completing the relevant Snowbusters progression over repeated seasons matters if you want to improve that building.
Snowbusters becomes easier when your broader account progression gives you more flexibility in events and resource management. Players comparing established progression can also review a wos account for sale to compare heroes, Chief Gear, Charms, Pets, Fire Crystal progress, troops, research, and other developed account systems.
Snowbusters Event Passes

Snowbusters also has optional paid progression passes.
Published event information has listed two common tiers around the equivalent of $5 and $10, although real-money pricing varies by region.
F2P players do not need these passes to participate.
If you spend, judge a pass by how much event progression you realistically expect to complete during the three-day window.
Best Whiteout Survival Snowbusters Tips
1. Rescue Survivors Early
The earlier you find Survivors, the longer you benefit from their help during that Area.2. Do Not Let Fuel Sit at Its Limit
Fuel regenerates over time. Regularly using some Fuel prevents free regeneration from being wasted.3. Open Fuel Supply Chests Only When Needed
Temporary active Fuel resets after the event, while eligible unopened Fuel Supply Chests can remain available.4. Do Not Upgrade the Fire Automatically
If Health is safe, saving Coal can be more efficient than spending it immediately.5. Match Gear Upgrades to Your Bottleneck
Use Snowbuster for clearing, Gloves for Health and Fuel efficiency, Coat for mitigation and Fuel recovery, and Snow Boots for movement and healing.6. Stack Different Bonus Items
Super Snowbuster and Infini-Fuel work well together. However, collecting the same item again replaces its existing effect instead of creating unlimited stacking.7. Use Superplow Selectively
Superplow saves time, but do not assume automatic clearing is always the best Fuel decision. Compare the displayed cost with manual clearing.8. Treat Area 24 as a Major Goal
Area 24 is tied to permanent Snowbusters convenience progression, including Superplow and Raid-related improvements.Best Snowbusters Strategy for F2P
F2P players should optimize for Fuel efficiency and permanent progression. A strong approach is:- Use natural Fuel regeneration throughout all three days.
- Do not allow Fuel to remain capped for long periods.
- Save unopened Fuel Supply Chests.
- Find Survivors early.
- Use easy Areas to conserve Fuel.
- Complete Maps and preserve Map Fragments.
- Upgrade temporary Gear only where it provides meaningful current-event value.
- Push toward Area 24 over time.
- Use Superplow when its convenience or displayed Fuel cost makes sense.
