Tundra Adventure is a seven-day Whiteout Survival event where players roll dice around a board to collect Adventure Coins, Fire Crystals, Essence Stones, Gems, Hero Shards, speedups, and other rewards.
The event is more than a simple dice game. Item Tiles improve as they gain XP, Illusion Dice let you target specific spaces, daily missions provide additional Common Dice, Odyssey of Adventure adds puzzle rewards, and Adventure Coins can be spent in the Adventure Caravan shop.
For developed states, Fire Crystals are one of the most useful Tundra Adventure rewards. They can come from Fire Crystal Item Tiles and Odyssey of Adventure puzzle rewards, making the event particularly valuable for players progressing through Fire Crystal buildings.
This guide explains Tundra Adventure Fire Crystals, Common and Illusion Dice, Item Tiles, Blue Chests, Adventure Coins, Adventurer Drill, Odyssey of Adventure, Adventure Caravan, milestone rewards, and the best ways to use your dice efficiently.
What Is Tundra Adventure in Whiteout Survival?

Tundra Adventure is a board-style event based on dice rolls.
You move around a circular board and receive rewards depending on the tile where your roll ends. Some tiles give Adventure Coins, while others can provide Gems, Essence Stones, Fire Crystal Chests, or special random rewards.

How to Get Fire Crystals in Tundra Adventure
Tundra Adventure has two major Fire Crystal sources for states that have unlocked Fire Crystal Age:
- Fire Crystal Item Tiles on the board.
- Odyssey of Adventure puzzle rewards.
This is important because Fire Crystals are required for building progression after Furnace Level 30.
1. Fire Crystal Item Tiles
One of the three Item Tile types is the Fire Crystal Tile.
Landing on this tile awards Fire Crystal Chests. The number of chests depends on the tile’s current level:
Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Fire Crystal Tile Level | Fire Crystal Chests |
|---|---|
| Level 1 | 1 chest |
| Level 2 | 2 chests |
| Level 3 | 3 chests |
| Level 4 | 4 chests |
| Level 5 | 5 chests |
That means leveling the Fire Crystal Item Tile can significantly increase its long-term value every time you land on it.
Tundra Adventure Fire Crystal Chest Rewards
Each Fire Crystal Chest can produce either Fire Crystals or General Speedups.
Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Fire Crystal Chest Reward | Chance |
|---|---|
| 20 Fire Crystals | 2% |
| 10 Fire Crystals | 8% |
| 6 Fire Crystals | 20% |
| 50 minutes General Speedups | 30% |
| 25 minutes General Speedups | 40% |
Based on those published probabilities, a single Fire Crystal Chest has a 30% combined chance of giving Fire Crystals.
The average Fire Crystal value from one chest is approximately:
(20 × 2%) + (10 × 8%) + (6 × 20%) = 2.4 Fire Crystals per chest
This is a mathematical average across many openings. A single chest can still give no Fire Crystals because the two speedup outcomes represent 70% of the listed probability.
Expected Fire Crystals by Item Tile Level
Using that 2.4-Fire-Crystal average per chest, the long-run average value of a Fire Crystal Tile is approximately:
Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Tile Level | Chests | Approx. Average Fire Crystals |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 | 2.4 |
| 2 | 2 | 4.8 |
| 3 | 3 | 7.2 |
| 4 | 4 | 9.6 |
| 5 | 5 | 12.0 |
Again, these are expected averages rather than guaranteed rewards.
2. Fire Crystals From Odyssey of Adventure
Fire Crystal Item Tiles are random because you must land on the correct board position. Odyssey of Adventure provides a more predictable Fire Crystal source if your state has already entered Fire Crystal Age.
Current puzzle rewards include:
Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Odyssey Reward | Available | Fire Crystals per Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Completed Row | 5 times | 5 Fire Crystals |
| Completed Column | 3 times | 12 Fire Crystals |
| Adventurer’s Chest | 1 time | 40 Fire Crystals |
If you complete all five rows, all three columns, and the final Adventurer’s Chest, that represents:
(5 × 5) + (3 × 12) + 40 = 101 Fire Crystals
This total is separate from any additional Fire Crystals you obtain by landing on Fire Crystal Item Tiles.
What If Your State Has Not Unlocked Fire Crystal Age?
States that have not unlocked Fire Crystal Age do not receive the normal Fire Crystal rewards.
On the board, the Fire Crystal Item Tile is replaced by a General Speedups Chest.
Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| General Speedup Chest Reward | Chance |
|---|---|
| 6 hours General Speedups | 2% |
| 3 hours General Speedups | 8% |
| 2 hours General Speedups | 20% |
| 1 hour General Speedups | 30% |
| 30 minutes General Speedups | 40% |
Odyssey puzzle rewards also change before Fire Crystal Age:
- Row reward: 1 hour General Speedup instead of Fire Crystals.
- Column reward: 3 hours General Speedups instead of Fire Crystals.
- Adventurer’s Chest: 10 hours General Speedups instead of Fire Crystals.
Therefore, two players on different-age states can see different Tundra Adventure rewards even when completing the same activities.
Tundra Adventure Event Parts
Tundra Adventure contains four connected sections:
Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Event Section | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Tundra Adventure | Roll dice, move around the board, and collect rewards |
| Adventurer Drill | Complete daily missions for Adventure Points and Common Dice |
| Odyssey of Adventure | Complete missions and puzzle lines for dice, Fire Crystals, and other rewards |
| Adventure Caravan | Spend Adventure Coins on progression materials and rotating cosmetics |
These systems feed into one another. Adventurer Drill and Odyssey provide more Dice, those Dice generate board progress and Adventure Coins, and Adventure Coins are spent in Adventure Caravan.
Common Dice vs Illusion Dice
Tundra Adventure uses two dice types.
Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Dice | Effect | End-of-Event Conversion |
|---|---|---|
| Common Dice | Random roll from 1 to 6 | 10K Resource Chest if unused |
| Illusion Dice | Choose any result from 1 to 6 | 100 Gems if unused |
Common Dice
Common Dice are the standard movement item.
Each die rolls randomly between 1 and 6.
Most of your event movement will come from Common Dice earned through:
- Adventurer Drill
- Tundra Adventure milestones
- Odyssey puzzle rewards
- Optional packs
Illusion Dice
Illusion Dice are much more strategic because you choose the result from 1 to 6.
Do not use an Illusion Dice simply because it is available.
Good targets include:
- A high-level Fire Crystal Tile
- A high-level Essence Stone Tile
- A valuable Gems Tile
- The moving Blue Chest
- A Treasure Tile when Adventure Coins are your priority
Can You Save Dice for the Next Tundra Adventure?
No.
Unused Dice are converted when the event closes rather than being saved for the next Tundra Adventure session.
That makes Illusion Dice especially important to use intelligently before the event ends because their direct board-targeting ability is generally more strategically valuable than their end-of-event conversion.
Normal Roll vs Quintuple Roll
There are two Common Dice roll options:
Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Roll Type | Cost |
|---|---|
| Normal Roll | 1 Common Dice |
| Quintuple Roll | 5 Common Dice |
A Quintuple Roll does not simply multiply one roll result by five. The five dice are resolved in sequence according to the rolled values.
If you are actively watching tile position and planning Illusion Dice usage, single rolls can provide more control over your decisions between movements.
How Tundra Adventure Item Tiles Work
There are three Item Tile reward categories:
- Fire Crystal / General Speedup Tile
- Essence Stone Tile
- Gems Tile
Every time you land on an Item Tile, that tile gains +1 XP.
Additional board effects can also increase Item Tile XP.
Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Item Tile Level | XP Requirement |
|---|---|
| Level 1 | 0 XP |
| Level 2 | 2 XP |
| Level 3 | 3 XP |
| Level 4 | 7 XP |
| Level 5 | 15 XP |
Level 5 is the maximum level for upgradable board tiles.
Starting Tile Strategy
Passing over or landing on the Starting Tile gives two random Item Tiles +1 XP each.
This matters because it allows Item Tiles to improve even when you do not land directly on them.
Every full trip around the board therefore contributes to long-term board quality.
Treasure Tile Rewards
Treasure Tiles award Adventure Coins.
Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Adventure Coins | Chance |
|---|---|
| 200 | 2% |
| 400 | 8% |
| 600 | 20% |
| 1,500 | 30% |
| 3,000 | 40% |
Treasure Tiles are therefore one of the main direct sources of Adventure Coins from the board.
Event Tile Rewards
Event Tiles produce a mixture of Adventure Coins and special movement or tile effects.
Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Event Tile Result | Chance |
|---|---|
| 50 Adventure Coins | 20% |
| 250 Adventure Coins | 18% |
| 500 Adventure Coins | 6.5% |
| 2,500 Adventure Coins | 0.5% |
| 1 Illusion Dice | 2% |
| Move backward 1-4 tiles | 2% |
| Teleport to the end | 2% |
| +2 XP on next Item Tile stop | 43% |
The +2 Item Tile XP effect is the most common listed outcome and becomes particularly valuable when your next Item Tile landing helps push a Fire Crystal, Essence Stone, or Gems Tile toward a higher level.
Gems Item Tile Rewards
The Gems Item Tile improves directly with level:
Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Tile Level | Gems |
|---|---|
| 1 | 1,000 |
| 2 | 2,000 |
| 3 | 3,000 |
| 4 | 4,000 |
| 5 | 5,000 |
A high-level Gems Tile can therefore be another strong use for an Illusion Dice.
Essence Stone Item Tile Rewards
The Essence Stone Tile awards one to five Essence Stone Chests depending on its level.
Each chest can contain:
Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Reward | Chance |
|---|---|
| 3 Essence Stones | 4% |
| 2 Essence Stones | 10% |
| 100 Enhancement XP | 21% |
| 40 Enhancement XP | 30% |
| 20 Enhancement XP | 35% |
Developed accounts working on Mythic Hero Gear Mastery Forging may value this tile almost as highly as the Fire Crystal Tile, depending on their current bottleneck.
Blue Chest Tile Rewards
A Blue Chest appears on one random board tile and moves after it is collected.
You must land directly on the Blue Chest tile to open it. Passing over the space does not claim the chest.
Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Blue Chest Reward | Chance |
|---|---|
| 10 Mythic General Hero Shards | 3% |
| 4 Mythic General Hero Shards | 10% |
| 2 Mythic General Hero Shards | 15% |
| 2,500 Adventure Coins | 5% |
| 1,000 Adventure Coins | 12% |
| 500 Adventure Coins | 25% |
| 15 hours General Speedups | 10% |
| 6 hours General Speedups | 20% |
Should You Use Illusion Dice on the Blue Chest?
Often, yes.
The Blue Chest has some of the strongest one-time board rewards, especially Mythic General Hero Shards and large speedup bundles.
However, compare it with any nearby Level 4 or Level 5 Fire Crystal, Gems, or Essence Stone Tile before committing your Illusion Dice.
Tundra Adventure Milestone Rewards
Board progress also unlocks milestone rewards.
Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Points | Reward |
|---|---|
| 30 | 100 Adventure Coins |
| 60 | 1 Common Dice |
| 120 | 500 Adventure Coins |
| 180 | 2 Common Dice |
| 300 | 1,000 Adventure Coins |
| 600 | 3 Common Dice |
| 900 | 3,000 Adventure Coins |
| 1,200 | 6 Common Dice |
| 1,500 | 5,000 Adventure Coins |
| 2,000 | 10 Common Dice |
The milestone system feeds more dice back into the board, which is why early progress can create additional rolls later.
Adventure Resource Packs

Tundra Adventure includes seven tiers of optional Adventure Resource Packs.
- Higher pack levels require purchasing the previous level first.
- Pack Levels 1-6 can be purchased once per day.
- Pack Level 7 can be purchased up to five times per day.
These packs are optional and are not required to complete the normal F2P event activities.
Adventurer Drill Guide

Adventurer Drill is the seven-day daily-mission portion of Tundra Adventure.
Daily missions reset at 00:00 UTC.
Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Daily Mission | Adventure Points | Other Rewards |
|---|---|---|
| Daily Login | 200 | 1 Common Dice, 50 min General Speedups |
| Use 1,000 min General Speedups | 100 | 1 Common Dice, 100 min General Speedups |
| Defeat 10 Beasts | 100 | 1 Common Dice, 50 min Training Speedups |
| Use Epic Recruitment 2 times | 100 | 50 Enhancement XP, 50 min Research Speedups |
| Complete 5 Intel Missions | 100 | 10K Hero XP, Resource Supply Chests |
| Gain 30K Power from training/promotion | 100 | 50 Enhancement XP, Resource Supply Chests |
Which Adventurer Drill Missions Matter Most?
For F2P players, prioritize missions that provide Common Dice without forcing inefficient resource use:
- Daily Login
- Defeat 10 Beasts
- Use speedups only when you already planned the progression
- Complete your normal Intel Missions
- Train or promote troops when useful
Avoid spending 1,000 minutes of speedups solely for one extra Common Dice if those speedups are more valuable in another event.
Treasure Hunt Tomes
Treasure Hunt Tomes are paid upgrades connected to Adventurer Drill.
They unlock additional rewards and can double daily mission rewards.
If you plan to buy a Tome, buying it early in the event creates more opportunity to benefit from the daily rewards.
For low spenders, compare its cost with what you expect to buy from Adventure Caravan, especially long-term progression materials such as Design Plans or Charm Designs when available.
Odyssey of Adventure Guide

Odyssey of Adventure is a seven-day puzzle mission event.
You complete tasks to reveal puzzle spaces. Completing full rows and columns provides additional rewards, while finishing the entire board unlocks the Adventurer’s Chest.
Odyssey of Adventure Missions
Current missions include activities such as:
- Spend 2,500 Gems
- Train 3,000 Level 1+ troops
- Use 2,000 minutes of speedups
- Make 150 Alliance Contributions
- Purchase an eligible pack
- Gather 10M and 20M resources
- Heal 30 injured troops
- Spend 1,000 Chief Stamina
- Call rallies and defeat 5 Polar Terrors
- Claim 15 Online Rewards
- Defeat 30 Beasts
- Fight in 20 Arena Challenges
- Complete 15 Intel Missions
Several tasks overlap with normal gameplay, so do the easy ones first before spending Gems or large amounts of speedups only for puzzle completion.
Best Odyssey Strategy
Check which other events are active at the same time.
For example, spending 2,000 minutes of speedups is more efficient if those same speedups also score in another event or complete a building, research, or training objective you already wanted.
Likewise, Beast, Stamina, Arena, and gathering missions can often be completed naturally throughout the week.
Adventure Caravan Shop

Adventure Caravan is the Tundra Adventure event shop.
It remains available for 8 days, giving you an additional shop period after the seven-day board event.
Adventure Coins can be exchanged for progression rewards and rotating cosmetics.
Shop inventories can vary with state progression, and the event can rotate two limited city skins and two limited march skins between appearances.
Adventure Caravan Shop Priority
For most progression-focused accounts, a sensible priority is:
- Rare materials blocking an important upgrade.
- Fire Crystal-related progression if offered and currently needed.
- Design Plans or Charm materials when they are major bottlenecks.
- Mythic General Hero Shards.
- Useful permanent cosmetics with combat bonuses.
- Common resources only after higher-value options are handled.
Exact priorities depend on your state age and account development.
Tundra Adventure rewards become more useful as an account enters Fire Crystal progression, Mythic Hero Gear development, and advanced Chief systems. Players comparing different account stages can also review a wos account for sale to compare established accounts by Fire Crystal level, Hero Gear, heroes, Chief Gear, Charms, troops, Pets, and other progression systems.
Can You Save Adventure Coins for the Next Event?
No.
Adventure Coins do not carry into the next Tundra Adventure.
Unused Adventure Coins are converted into 1,000 Meat each when the event closes.
That conversion is usually much less valuable than deliberately choosing a useful shop reward.
Check Adventure Caravan before the final event timer expires.
Best Tundra Adventure Strategy
1. Complete Daily Adventurer Drill Missions
Daily Login and Beast missions are especially useful because they provide Common Dice.
More Dice create more board movement, more tile XP, and more opportunities for Fire Crystals and Adventure Coins.
2. Save Illusion Dice for Valuable Tiles
Do not treat Illusion Dice like Common Dice.
Use their exact movement control when you can target:
- A Level 4 or 5 Fire Crystal Tile
- A high-level Gems Tile
- A high-level Essence Stone Tile
- A Blue Chest
3. Prioritize Fire Crystal Tiles After Fire Crystal Age
Your priorities should change when Fire Crystal progression begins.
If you need large numbers of Fire Crystals for buildings, a high-level Fire Crystal Tile can become one of the strongest board targets.
4. Upgrade Item Tiles Early
An Item Tile that reaches Level 5 early has more time to provide its maximum reward during later board laps.
Starting Tile XP and Event Tile XP boosts help accelerate this process.
5. Complete Odyssey Rows and Columns
For Fire Crystal Age states, Odyssey is a major guaranteed Fire Crystal source.
Do not focus only on random board tiles and forget the puzzle rewards.
6. Land Directly on Blue Chests
Passing over a Blue Chest does not collect it.
If the chest is within six spaces and its reward potential matters to you, consider using an Illusion Dice.
7. Stack Missions With Other Events
Odyssey and Adventurer Drill contain expensive missions involving Gems, speedups, Stamina, troops, and Arena attempts.
Whenever possible, complete them when another active event rewards the same action.
8. Spend Adventure Coins Before the End
Adventure Coins cannot be saved for the next Tundra Adventure. Unused currency converts to Meat, so review the shop before it closes.
Tundra Adventure Priority for Fire Crystal Players
Scroll sideways to view the full table.
| Priority | Action | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Complete easy Adventurer Drill missions | Generates additional Common Dice |
| 2 | Complete Odyssey puzzle lines | Provides guaranteed Fire Crystal rewards |
| 3 | Level Fire Crystal Item Tiles | Higher levels provide more chests per landing |
| 4 | Use Illusion Dice on valuable high-level tiles | Removes random movement when Fire Crystal rewards are nearby |
| 5 | Collect Blue Chests when efficient | Potential Mythic shards and large speedups |
| 6 | Spend Adventure Coins | Avoid low-value end-of-event conversion |
Common Tundra Adventure Mistakes
Ignoring Fire Crystal Item Tiles
Once Fire Crystal Age is active, these tiles can become one of the most valuable parts of the board.
Thinking Fire Crystal Chests Always Give Fire Crystals
They do not. The listed Fire Crystal outcomes total 30%, while the remaining 70% of outcomes are General Speedups.
Forgetting Odyssey Fire Crystals
Fire Crystal players should not rely only on random board landings. Odyssey row, column, and final chest rewards provide another major source.
Wasting Illusion Dice
Illusion Dice let you choose the exact movement amount. Save them for specific high-value targets instead of using them without a plan.
Passing Over a Blue Chest
You must land directly on the Blue Chest tile. Passing across it does not collect the reward.
Missing Adventurer Drill Resets
Daily missions reset at 00:00 UTC. Missing a day can cost Common Dice and Adventure Points.
Using Speedups Only for Tundra Adventure
Try to combine expensive speedup missions with another event or an upgrade you already planned.
Leaving Adventure Coins Unspent
Adventure Coins do not transfer to the next event and instead convert into Meat when the event closes.
FAQ
What is Tundra Adventure in Whiteout Survival?
Tundra Adventure is a seven-day dice-and-board event where players move between tiles to obtain Adventure Coins, Fire Crystal Chests, Essence Stones, Gems, Blue Chests, and other rewards.
Can you get Fire Crystals from Tundra Adventure?
Yes. States that have unlocked Fire Crystal Age can obtain Fire Crystals from Fire Crystal Item Chests and Odyssey of Adventure puzzle rewards.
What is the Tundra Adventure Fire Crystal Chest drop rate?
The listed Fire Crystal outcomes are 20 Fire Crystals at 2%, 10 at 8%, and 6 at 20%. Combined, that is a 30% chance that an individual chest produces Fire Crystals. Other outcomes are General Speedups.
How many Fire Crystals can Odyssey of Adventure give?
Current rewards list 5 Fire Crystals for each of five completed rows, 12 for each of three completed columns, and 40 from the final Adventurer’s Chest, for up to 101 Fire Crystals if all listed puzzle rewards are completed.
What happens if Fire Crystal Age is not unlocked?
The Fire Crystal board reward is replaced with General Speedup Chests, and Odyssey’s Fire Crystal rewards are replaced with General Speedups.
Can you save Tundra Adventure Dice?
No. Dice are converted when the event ends rather than carrying into the next Tundra Adventure. Current event data lists unused Common Dice converting to a 10K Resource Chest and unused Illusion Dice to 100 Gems.
Do you need to land directly on the Blue Chest?
Yes. Passing over a Blue Chest does not open it. Your movement must finish directly on the chest tile.
Can Adventure Coins be saved?
No. Adventure Coins do not carry into the next event. Unused Adventure Coins convert into 1K Meat each when Tundra Adventure closes.
Conclusion
Whiteout Survival Tundra Adventure is particularly valuable after your state enters Fire Crystal Age. Fire Crystal Item Tiles create a repeatable chance to earn Fire Crystals from the board, while Odyssey of Adventure adds a more predictable source through row, column, and final puzzle rewards.
To maximize the event, complete Adventurer Drill missions for extra Common Dice, level your Item Tiles as early as possible, and save Illusion Dice for high-value positions such as Level 4 or Level 5 Fire Crystal, Gems, or Essence Stone Tiles.
Do not ignore the Blue Chest, but remember that you must land directly on it. Likewise, avoid completing expensive Odyssey tasks at a bad time when the same Gems, speedups, Stamina, or troop training could be stacked with another active event.
Finally, spend your Adventure Coins before Adventure Caravan closes. Dice and Adventure Coins do not carry into the next Tundra Adventure, so unused event resources lose much of their strategic value when converted automatically.
