Whiteout Survival Labyrinth guide

The Labyrinth is a weekly Whiteout Survival progression mode made up of six Exploration zones that test different parts of your account. Instead of using one universal power calculation, each zone focuses on specific systems such as Heroes, Hero Gear, Pets, Chief Charms, Research, Chief Gear, or a broader combination of eligible combat stats. That distinction is the key to progressing. Upgrading Hero Gear can help Land of Heroes but will not directly solve a Gear Forge wall. Likewise, Research Center depends on Research Center and War Academy Tech rather than Chief Gear. This Whiteout Survival Labyrinth guide combines the complete Labyrinth and Labyrinth Core information in one place. It covers the weekly schedule, all six zones, troop rules, challenge attempts, Raid, First Win rewards, Labyrinth Treasure, Glowstones, Labyrinth Cores, every current Core milestone from 10 to 1,800, Hero’s Sanctum, Luminari Citadel, and practical strategies for pushing farther.
The Labyrinth unlocks on Monday of the fourth server week at Furnace Level 19 and Command Center Level 1. Different zones open throughout the week, and Raid becomes available after clearing Stages 1-10 of an Exploration.

What Is The Labyrinth in Whiteout Survival?

Whiteout Survival The Labyrinth

The Labyrinth is accessed through the Command Center. Rather than exploring a traditional maze, you progress through increasingly difficult numbered stages across several rotating Exploration zones. Your main goals are to:
  • Clear new Exploration stages.
  • Claim one-time First Win Rewards.
  • Unlock Raid in each zone.
  • Collect Glowstones for the Labyrinth Shop.
  • Earn cumulative Labyrinth Cores.
  • Reach Labyrinth Core milestone rewards.
  • Collect Labyrinth and Splendid Labyrinth Treasure.
  • Progress toward permanent Daybreak Island decorations.
The most important concept is that each zone reads different progression systems. Displayed account Power alone does not tell you how strong you will be in every Labyrinth Exploration.

How to Unlock The Labyrinth

The Labyrinth becomes available on Monday of the fourth week after a server opens, provided you meet the account requirements.
Requirement Details
Server Progress Monday of the fourth server week
Furnace Level 19
Command Center Level 1
Entry Location Command Center
For Furnace progression requirements, see the Whiteout Survival Furnace upgrade guide. Unlocking the main feature does not automatically unlock every zone. Cave of Monsters, Charm Mine, and Gear Forge depend on additional account systems becoming available.

Whiteout Survival Labyrinth Zone Schedule

The current Labyrinth has six zones. Several older guides use legacy names, so you may still see Land of the Brave, Glowstone Mine, Earthlab, and Dark Forge mentioned in older videos or discussions.
Current Zone Older Name Days Requirement Main Stat Sources
Land of Heroes Land of the Brave Monday-Tuesday Available with Labyrinth Heroes, Hero Gear, Exclusive Hero Gear
Cave of Monsters Same name Wednesday-Thursday Pets unlocked, normally around Server Day 54 Pets and Pet Skills
Charm Mine Glowstone Mine Wednesday-Thursday Furnace 25 and Chief Charms Chief Charms
Research Center Earthlab Friday-Saturday Available with Labyrinth Research Center Tech and War Academy Tech
Gear Forge Dark Forge Friday-Saturday Furnace 22 and Chief Gear Chief Gear
Gaia Heart Same name Sunday Available with Labyrinth Multiple eligible combat stat sources
This schedule lets you plan upgrades ahead of time. For example, finishing an important Chief Gear upgrade before Friday immediately helps Gear Forge, while useful combat research completed before Friday can improve Research Center.

Whiteout Survival Labyrinth Land of Heroes

Whiteout Survival Labyrinth Cave of Monsters

Whiteout Survival Labyrinth Charm Mine

Whiteout Survival Research Center Labyrinth

Whiteout Survival Gear Forge Labyrinth

Whiteout Survival Labyrinth Gaia Heart

Land of Heroes

Land of Heroes opens on Monday and Tuesday and focuses on your hero-related progression. Its main stat sources are: This is the zone where hero stars, strong Expedition heroes, Hero Gear, and Widgets have their clearest impact. If you are close to another clear, concentrate resources on heroes and gear you actually use rather than spreading upgrades evenly across the entire roster.

Cave of Monsters

Cave of Monsters opens on Wednesday and Thursday after the Pet system becomes available, generally around Server Day 54. Its relevant progression systems are:
  • Pets
  • Pet Skills
Therefore, a player with strong heroes and Chief Gear can still perform poorly here if Pet development has been neglected. If Cave of Monsters consistently falls behind your other Labyrinth zones, Pet progression is the first system to review.

Charm Mine

Charm Mine opens on Wednesday and Thursday. It requires Furnace Level 25 and access to Chief Charms. Its main stat source is Chief Charms. That makes the solution fairly direct. Improving unrelated Hero Gear or Chief Gear will not replace weak Charms in this zone. Develop the Charm bonuses that strengthen the troop classes you rely on most.

Research Center Labyrinth Guide

Research Center opens on Friday and Saturday. Older guides may call the same zone Earthlab. Its listed stat sources are: Research Center is therefore one of the clearest zones to diagnose. If you are stuck here, Hero Gear and Chief Gear are not the primary answer. Instead, check your available combat research.

How to Get Stronger in Research Center

Useful research can include improvements to:
  • Troop Attack
  • Troop Defense
  • Troop Health
  • Troop Lethality
  • Deployment Capacity where applicable
  • Advanced War Academy combat bonuses
The exact upgrades available depend on your State age and current research progression. Economy or development research is still valuable for your account, but it should not be mistaken for direct combat progress in this zone.

Do You Need High-Level Troops for Research Center?

In most Labyrinth zones, the Labyrinth Explorers provide Level 10 troops. This includes Research Center. As a result, improving the zone’s applicable research stats matters more than simply unlocking a higher normal Wilderness troop tier.

Gear Forge Labyrinth Guide

Gear Forge also opens on Friday and Saturday, but it tests a completely different account system. Gear Forge requires:
  • Furnace Level 22
  • Chief Gear unlocked
Its primary stat source is Chief Gear.

Chief Gear vs Hero Gear in Gear Forge

Do not confuse Chief Gear with Hero Gear. They are separate progression systems. Hero Gear belongs to individual heroes and is important in areas such as Land of Heroes. Chief Gear provides broader troop bonuses and is the system Gear Forge tests. Therefore, upgrading a Mythic Hero Gear piece is not the direct solution to a Gear Forge wall.

Best Gear Forge Upgrade Strategy

A practical approach is to:
  1. Identify your weakest Chief Gear pieces.
  2. Check the Infantry, Lancer, and Marksman stats those slots improve.
  3. Spend materials where the next upgrade gives meaningful combat progress.
  4. Return to Gear Forge after a real Chief Gear increase.
  5. Adjust your troop distribution if the stage remains close.
Chief Gear progression uses materials including Hardened Alloy, Polishing Solution, Design Plans, and advanced materials at later tiers. For the complete upgrade system, see the Whiteout Survival Chief Gear guide.

Gaia Heart

Gaia Heart opens on Sunday and is the broadest Labyrinth zone because it combines many eligible combat progression systems. Unlike most other zones, Gaia Heart uses your own troops. Those troops can be deployed without affecting normal Wilderness deployment or causing normal battle casualties.

Which Bonuses Do Not Work in Gaia Heart?

Do not assume every temporary or external bonus contributes inside The Labyrinth. Excluded bonuses include systems such as:
  • Castle battle positions and related position bonuses
  • President or Supreme President perks where excluded by Labyrinth rules
  • State Skills
  • Alliance Tech and Alliance bonuses
  • Alliance Territory bonuses
  • Facility bonuses
  • Temporary bonus items covered by the Labyrinth exclusion rules
For building-derived stats in Gaia Heart, the important effective stat is Deployment Capacity from the Command Center.
Important reminder: Do not activate expensive temporary combat buffs solely because you are stuck in The Labyrinth. Several outside bonus systems are disabled. Improve permanent stats that the active zone actually reads instead.

Squad Configuration and Troop Rules

Whiteout Survival Labyrinth squad configuration

Troop rules inside The Labyrinth differ from ordinary Wilderness combat.
Situation Troop Rule
Land of Heroes Labyrinth Explorers provide Level 10 troops
Cave of Monsters Labyrinth Explorers provide Level 10 troops
Charm Mine Labyrinth Explorers provide Level 10 troops
Research Center Labyrinth Explorers provide Level 10 troops
Gear Forge Labyrinth Explorers provide Level 10 troops
Gaia Heart Uses your own troops
Insufficient Deployment Explorer troops can supplement your formation to meet the minimum requirement
Because troop quality is standardized in most zones, the most reliable way to progress is to improve the stat system assigned to the zone and then fine-tune your troop distribution for close battles.

Labyrinth Challenge Attempts

Whiteout Survival Labyrinth Raid

Each active Labyrinth zone displays five challenge attempts per day, refreshing at 00:00 UTC. In current Labyrinth battles, winning lets you continue pushing without consuming one of those attempts. A failed challenge uses an attempt. Therefore, the practical limit is how many losses you can absorb while searching for your next clear. This makes experimentation worthwhile when a fight is close. Adjusting troop ratios or retrying a close result can sometimes turn a loss into a victory. However, if you are being defeated decisively, spending all remaining losses with the same setup is rarely productive.

First Win Rewards vs Raid Rewards

Reward Type How It Works
First Win Reward Claimed once when you clear a stage for the first time
Raid Reward Repeatable rewards based on previously cleared stages after Raid is unlocked
First Win Rewards make pushing new stages especially valuable. Even if your weekly Raid income is already good, every new first clear can add one-time rewards and contribute toward deeper long-term progression.

How to Unlock Raid in The Labyrinth

Raid unlocks after clearing Stages 1-10 of an Exploration. When that zone becomes active again, Raid lets you collect rewards based on your previously cleared progress before continuing into harder stages.

Whiteout Survival Labyrinth Raid rewards

Stage 10 is therefore an important early objective in every available zone. Once Raid is unlocked, future weekly sessions become much easier to manage.

When Does Labyrinth Progress Reset?

The underground world is covered by mist on Monday, resetting the weekly Exploration stage cycle. However, not everything is erased.
  • Weekly Exploration stage progress resets.
  • Previously achieved progress can feed Raid rewards when the zone returns.
  • First Win Rewards remain one-time rewards.
  • Milestone rewards remain one-time rewards.
  • Labyrinth Core progression remains cumulative.
  • The Labyrinth Leaderboard follows its own refresh rules.
This difference is especially important when discussing Labyrinth Cores. A weekly stage reset does not mean your accumulated Core milestone progress starts over.

Which Labyrinth Zone Should You Improve First?

Start with the progression system responsible for the zone where you are currently losing the most useful clears.
If You Are Stuck In Improve
Land of Heroes Heroes, Hero Gear, Exclusive Hero Gear
Cave of Monsters Pets and Pet Skills
Charm Mine Chief Charms
Research Center Research Center Tech and War Academy Tech
Gear Forge Chief Gear
Gaia Heart Overall eligible combat progression and your own troops
Comparing developed accounts: Players comparing Whiteout Survival accounts should look beyond total Power and compare Heroes, Hero Gear, Chief Gear, Charms, Pets, Research, troop progression, and other systems used across the different Labyrinth zones.

Whiteout Survival Labyrinth Rewards

Whiteout Survival Labyrinth progress rewards

The Labyrinth has several overlapping reward systems:
  • First Win Rewards
  • Raid Rewards
  • Labyrinth Treasure
  • Splendid Labyrinth Treasure
  • Glowstones
  • Labyrinth Cores
  • Hero’s Sanctum
  • Luminari Citadel
  • Labyrinth Shop items

Labyrinth Treasure and Splendid Labyrinth Treasure

Whiteout Survival Labyrinth Treasure rewards

Labyrinth Treasure and Splendid Labyrinth Treasure contain similar reward categories, but the quantities and drop rates differ significantly.
Reward Labyrinth Treasure Splendid Labyrinth Treasure
Luminari Citadel 1 × 1% 1 × 3%
Mythic General Hero Shard 1 × 0.3% 10 × 0.3%
Enhancement XP Component 10 × 5 at 10% 100 × 1 at 20%
Gems 10 at 20% 50 at 20%
5m General Speedup 1 at 68.7% 1 at 56.7%
The Splendid version has a much higher Luminari Citadel rate and substantially larger quantities for several premium drops.

What Is a Labyrinth Core?

Whiteout Survival Labyrinth Core rewards

Labyrinth Cores are awarded for clearing Exploration stages and act as cumulative milestone progression. You do not spend them like shop currency. Instead, your total number of Cores increases as you clear qualifying stages. Reaching certain thresholds unlocks one-time rewards.
Labyrinth Core Detail Information
Source Clearing Exploration stages
Main Purpose Unlock cumulative milestone rewards
Spent Like Currency? No
Milestones Repeat? No, current milestone rewards are one-time claims
Final Listed Milestone 1,800 Labyrinth Cores

How to Get More Labyrinth Cores

The basic rule is simple: clear more Exploration stages across more Labyrinth zones. That makes overall account development important. If one progression system has been ignored, the corresponding zone can stop contributing additional clears and slow your Core progression.

Push Every Available Zone

Do not focus on only your strongest Exploration. Land of Heroes, Cave of Monsters, Charm Mine, Research Center, Gear Forge, and Gaia Heart all provide opportunities to push deeper.

Improve the Correct Stat Source

If a zone stops progressing, identify what that zone actually uses before spending upgrade materials.

Revisit Old Walls After Major Upgrades

A stage that was impossible last week may become manageable after a significant Hero Gear, Pet, Charm, Research, Chief Gear, hero-generation, or troop upgrade.

Unlock Raid in Every Zone

Clearing Stages 1-10 remains an important early objective because it unlocks Raid for future Exploration sessions.

Use the Full Weekly Rotation

Skipping an entire zone window means giving up opportunities to push first clears and increase your long-term Labyrinth progression.

Labyrinth Core Milestone Rewards

The current Labyrinth Core reward track runs from 10 to 1,800 Cores. These are cumulative thresholds; claiming a reward does not deduct Cores from your total.
Labyrinth Cores Milestone Reward
10 500 Enhancement XP Components
30 1 Hero’s Sanctum
60 5 Mythic General Hero Shards
100 2 Hero’s Sanctum
150 10 Lucky Hero Gear Chests
200 3 Hero’s Sanctum
300 1 Custom Mythic Hero Gear Chest
400 4 Hero’s Sanctum
500 30 Lucky Hero Gear Chests
700 5 Hero’s Sanctum
900 40 Lucky Hero Gear Chests
1,200 50 Lucky Hero Gear Chests
1,500 70 Lucky Hero Gear Chests
1,800 100 Lucky Hero Gear Chests
Because these thresholds are cumulative, reaching 300 Cores does not consume the Cores you used to qualify for the 200-Core milestone. Your total simply continues toward the next reward.

Best Labyrinth Core Milestones

You do not choose which milestone to purchase because rewards unlock sequentially. However, several thresholds are useful targets when measuring your progress.
Core Target Reward Why It Matters
30 Hero’s Sanctum Begins permanent Daybreak Island defense progression
60 5 Mythic General Hero Shards Flexible Mythic hero progression
150 10 Lucky Hero Gear Chests Adds chances for Epic or Mythic Hero Gear
300 Custom Mythic Hero Gear Chest Guaranteed Mythic Hero Gear choice
700 5 Hero’s Sanctum Completes the 15-copy milestone sequence
1,800 100 Lucky Hero Gear Chests Large long-term Hero Gear reward

Why 300 Labyrinth Cores Is an Important Target

The 300-Core milestone awards one Custom Mythic Hero Gear Chest. Unlike a random Lucky Hero Gear Chest, a Custom Mythic Hero Gear Chest lets you select a Mythic Hero Gear piece. This can help you:
  • Fill a missing Mythic Hero Gear slot.
  • Complete an important Infantry setup.
  • Strengthen a Marksman damage piece.
  • Improve an important Lancer hero.
  • Prepare Hero Gear for later Mastery and advanced progression.
For many developing accounts, 300 Cores is therefore the first major long-term Core checkpoint.

Lucky Hero Gear Chest Rewards

Several Core milestones reward Lucky Hero Gear Chests. Each chest provides Hero Gear of Rare quality or higher.
Hero Gear Tier Chance
Mythic 1%
Epic 10%
Rare 89%
Most individual chests will therefore contain Rare Hero Gear. Large milestone quantities are valuable because they create more opportunities for higher-tier drops while also supplying additional Hero Gear for enhancement progression.

Hero’s Sanctum Milestones

Whiteout Survival Hero's Sanctum

Hero’s Sanctum is a permanent Daybreak Island decoration obtained through Labyrinth Core milestones. You receive copies at:
  • 30 Cores: 1 copy
  • 100 Cores: 2 copies
  • 200 Cores: 3 copies
  • 400 Cores: 4 copies
  • 700 Cores: 5 copies
That adds up to 15 Hero’s Sanctum copies. Hero’s Sanctum provides +0.5% Troops Defense per level and can reach Level 5 for a total of +2.5% Troops Defense. Because this is permanent Daybreak Island progression, Hero’s Sanctum is much more than a cosmetic milestone reward.

Luminari Citadel

Whiteout Survival Luminari Citadel

Luminari Citadel is the other major permanent Daybreak Island decoration connected to The Labyrinth. Unlike Hero’s Sanctum, which comes from Core milestones, Luminari Citadel can drop from Labyrinth Treasure and Splendid Labyrinth Treasure. It increases Troops Attack as it is upgraded, making successful decoration drops another source of permanent combat progression from the Labyrinth reward system.

What Are Enhancement XP Components Used For?

The first Core milestone at 10 Cores gives 500 Enhancement XP Components. Enhancement XP Components are used to increase normal Hero Gear enhancement levels. They should not be confused with Essence Stones for Mastery Forging, Widgets for Exclusive Hero Gear, or materials used for Chief Gear.

Labyrinth Cores vs Glowstones

Labyrinth Cores and Glowstones both come from The Labyrinth, but their purposes are completely different.
Resource Purpose
Labyrinth Core Cumulative milestone progression; not manually spent
Glowstone Currency spent in the Labyrinth Shop
This distinction prevents one of the most common Labyrinth mistakes. You do not need to decide whether to save or spend your Cores. They simply accumulate toward milestones.

Glowstones and the Labyrinth Shop

Glowstones collected through Exploration and Raid are used to redeem items in the Labyrinth Shop.

Whiteout Survival Labyrinth Shop

The Shop refreshes weekly, and parts of its inventory depend on server progression. Therefore, spending priorities can change considerably between a young State and a late-game account. A new August 2026 Expert rollout also affects this system in eligible States. Growth Expert Justus includes a skill that can increase the Glowstones obtained from Labyrinth Raids. Because the exact bonus depends on the live Expert values available to your account, check the current Expert screen rather than relying on an assumed fixed number. For current shop priorities, see the Whiteout Survival Glowstone guide.

Do Labyrinth Cores Reset or Expire?

Labyrinth Cores should not be treated like temporary event currency. The weekly Exploration cycle resets stage progress, but Labyrinth Cores contribute toward one-time cumulative milestone rewards.
Labyrinth System Reset Behavior
Exploration Stage Progress Resets through the weekly Labyrinth cycle
Challenge Attempts Refresh at 00:00 UTC
Labyrinth Shop Refreshes weekly
First Win Rewards One-time
Core Milestone Rewards One-time cumulative progression
Therefore, advice telling players to spend Labyrinth Cores before the weekly reset confuses Cores with Glowstones.

Are Labyrinth Cores Worth Farming?

Yes. Core rewards are additional progression earned while clearing stages you already want to complete. The track includes:
  • Enhancement XP Components
  • Mythic General Hero Shards
  • Hero’s Sanctum copies
  • Lucky Hero Gear Chests
  • A guaranteed Custom Mythic Hero Gear Chest
There is also no tradeoff where claiming one Core reward prevents you from claiming a later reward. Keep progressing through the milestone thresholds and the next reward becomes available automatically.

Best Tips for The Labyrinth

Keep Pushing While You Are Winning

A victory does not use one of your available loss attempts in current Labyrinth play. Therefore, continue progressing while your formation is clearing stages consistently.

Upgrade the Correct System

This is the most important Labyrinth rule. Research improves Research Center. Chief Gear improves Gear Forge. Pets improve Cave of Monsters. Chief Charms improve Charm Mine.

Use Losses as Tests

If a fight is close, adjust troop distribution or retry after reviewing the battle result. If the loss is overwhelming, stop and make a meaningful upgrade before burning the remaining attempts.

Plan Upgrades Around the Weekly Schedule

Finishing a relevant upgrade immediately before its zone opens can produce new clears during that week’s rotation.

Unlock Raid Everywhere

Clearing Stages 1-10 should be an early objective in every zone because Raid simplifies future reward collection.

Revisit Difficult Stages

Your previous maximum is not permanent. Return after major Hero, Gear, Charm, Pet, Research, or troop progression.

Use Glowstones Deliberately

Unlike Cores, Glowstones require an actual spending decision. Compare the available Shop items against the progression bottlenecks on your account.

Do Not Rely on Excluded Buffs

Temporary bonuses that do not function inside The Labyrinth will not rescue an account that lacks the permanent stats required by a zone.

Common Labyrinth Mistakes

Upgrading Hero Gear for Gear Forge

Gear Forge uses Chief Gear. Hero Gear belongs to a different progression system and is especially relevant to Land of Heroes.

Ignoring Research Center Tech

Research Center reads Research Center and War Academy combat progression. Improving unrelated systems first may leave the same Research Center wall unchanged.

Following Old Zone Names Without Matching Them

Earthlab is now Research Center, Dark Forge is Gear Forge, Glowstone Mine is Charm Mine, and Land of the Brave is Land of Heroes. Old strategies may still refer to the previous labels.

Confusing Labyrinth Cores With Glowstones

Glowstones are Shop currency. Labyrinth Cores are cumulative milestone progression.

Thinking Core Milestones Reset Weekly

The Exploration cycle resets, but current milestone rewards are one-time cumulative rewards.

Assuming Lucky Hero Gear Chests Guarantee Mythic Gear

They do not. The current listed chance for Mythic Hero Gear is 1% per Lucky Hero Gear Chest.

Not Unlocking Raid

Clearing the first ten stages of each zone unlocks a major convenience and recurring reward feature for later rotations.

Repeatedly Losing Without Changing Anything

Close failures can justify another attempt because combat outcomes can vary. However, repeated heavy defeats usually mean your relevant zone stats need improvement.

FAQ

How do you unlock The Labyrinth in Whiteout Survival?

The Labyrinth unlocks on Monday of the fourth server week once you have Furnace Level 19 and Command Center Level 1.

What are the six Whiteout Survival Labyrinth zones?

The current zones are Land of Heroes, Cave of Monsters, Charm Mine, Research Center, Gear Forge, and Gaia Heart. Older guides may use legacy names for four of them.

How do you get Labyrinth Cores?

Labyrinth Cores are awarded by clearing stages across the different Exploration zones. Your accumulated total unlocks one-time milestone rewards.

What do you get at 300 Labyrinth Cores?

The 300-Core milestone gives one Custom Mythic Hero Gear Chest, allowing you to choose a Mythic Hero Gear piece.

What is the difference between Labyrinth Cores and Glowstones?

Labyrinth Cores are cumulative milestone progression and are not spent. Glowstones are currency used in the Labyrinth Shop.

How does Raid work in The Labyrinth?

Raid unlocks after clearing Stages 1-10 of an Exploration. When that zone returns, Raid lets you collect rewards based on previously cleared progress before you continue pushing harder stages.

Conclusion

The Whiteout Survival Labyrinth is easiest to progress when you treat each zone as a test of a specific account system rather than relying on total Power alone. Build Heroes for Land of Heroes, Pets for Cave of Monsters, Charms for Charm Mine, Research for Research Center, and Chief Gear for Gear Forge, while Gaia Heart rewards broader account development. At the same time, keep pushing new stages for First Win rewards and Labyrinth Cores, unlock Raid in every available zone, and remember that Cores are cumulative progression while Glowstones are the Shop currency.
