Constance Talent Tree: Rise of Kingdoms Gathering Guide

by | Sep 2, 2026

Constance talent tree build for gathering in Rise of Kingdoms

Constance is one of the best low-cost gathering commanders to develop early in Rise of Kingdoms. Her Gathering talent tree, Wood gathering bonus, troop load, and additional-resource skill make her useful without requiring level 60 or expensive commander resources.

For a dedicated gathering build, take Constance toward The More the Better around level 27 and Superior Tools around level 37. Wood is her strongest resource because The Regent provides a larger Wood gathering-speed bonus than it does for Food or Stone.

A level 37 Constance is enough for the core gathering build on most accounts. Prioritize resource Gathering Mastery talents, The More the Better, and Superior Tools instead of spending experience to push an economic commander toward level 60.

Is Constance Good in Rise of Kingdoms?

Yes. Constance is an Elite commander with Integration, Gathering, and Skill talent trees. Her main purpose is resource gathering rather than combat.

She remains useful well beyond the opening stages of an account because gathering marches continue to generate resources for research, troop training, healing, building upgrades, and events. Even after you unlock Epic and Legendary gatherers, Constance can still lead or support another gathering march.

How to Get Constance

Constance sculptures are available through the Expedition Shop for Medals of the Conqueror. Because she is an Elite commander, developing her is considerably cheaper than building a Legendary gatherer.

New players should gradually finish Constance through her normal sculpture sources instead of treating her like a premium commander project.

Best Constance Talent Tree for Gathering

Recommended Constance gathering talent tree build in Rise of Kingdoms

When Constance leads the gathering march, spend almost all meaningful talent points in the Gathering tree. Combat-oriented Integration and Skill talents provide very little value for a commander whose job is to collect resources and return home.

Level 18: Gathering Mastery Talents

During Constance’s early levels, unlock the Gathering Mastery talents for Food, Wood, Stone, and Gold. Maxed resource-specific Gathering Masteries provide a substantial gathering-speed increase and create the foundation for every dedicated gatherer.

Wood is the natural first priority for Constance because her second skill already gives Wood the largest personal gathering-speed bonus. However, your account’s current bottleneck matters more than perfect specialization. If you urgently need Stone or Gold, gather that resource instead.

Level 27: The More the Better

Level 27 is an excellent early target because it provides enough talent points for a standard gathering route to reach The More the Better.

At maximum level, The More the Better provides 6% additional resources after completing gathering. This is different from gathering speed: the talent increases what comes back from a completed resource point.

Because Constance also has Queen of Sicily, which provides another completion-based resource benefit, allowing her to finish resource points is particularly valuable.

Level 37: Superior Tools

Level 37 is the recommended finished gathering target for most players. At this point, a standard Gathering build can maximize Superior Tools, providing up to 25% additional gathering speed for every resource type.

This bonus works regardless of whether Constance is gathering Wood, Food, Stone, or Gold, making level 37 much more valuable than pushing deeply into her combat talent trees.

Level 40 and Modified Axle

Additional levels can be used for utility such as Modified Axle, which improves the March Speed of Siege units. This can reduce travel time between your city and distant resource points.

Level 40 is optional rather than essential. Your combat commanders should normally receive experience first once Constance has completed the important level-37 gathering route.

Level Target Main Goal Recommendation
18 Gathering Mastery talents Useful early foundation
27 The More the Better Strong early stopping point
37 Maximum Superior Tools Recommended completed gathering build
40+ Additional Siege movement and utility Optional
60 No major gathering breakpoint Usually unnecessary
Only the primary commander’s talent tree applies to a march. If Constance has the completed Gathering build, use her as primary. If her partner has the stronger Gathering tree, place Constance second and her gathering skills will still contribute.

Constance Skills and Best Skill Order

Constance has four skills. Unlike many combat commanders, there is little value in keeping her at one star just to max the active skill first. Struggling Poison does not improve gathering, while her second, third, and fourth skills contain her economic bonuses.

A practical approach is to unlock her gathering skills quickly and work toward 5-5-5-5 over time. Elite commander development is inexpensive enough that complicated partial builds are unnecessary.

Struggling Poison

Constance Struggling Poison active skill

Active Skill — Rage Requirement: 1,000

Struggling Poison deals direct damage to one target followed by additional damage each second for three seconds.

  • Direct Damage Factor: 50 / 70 / 90 / 120 / 150
  • Additional Damage Factor: 50 / 70 / 90 / 120 / 150

This is Constance’s least important skill for gathering. Its low damage does not justify building her as a combat commander.

The Regent

Constance The Regent gathering skill

The Regent is Constance’s main gathering-speed skill. It gives a larger bonus to Wood while also improving Food and Stone gathering.

  • Wood Gathering Speed: 3% / 6% / 10% / 15% / 20%
  • Food and Stone Gathering Speed: 2% / 4% / 7% / 10% / 15%

At level 5, Wood receives a 20% bonus while Food and Stone receive 15%. The skill does not provide a personal Gold gathering-speed bonus.

Loving Mother

Constance Loving Mother troop load skill

Loving Mother increases the load capacity of troops led by Constance.

  • Troop Load: 5% / 10% / 15% / 20% / 30%

The 30% maximum bonus makes it easier to clear larger resource points without sending an unnecessarily large number of troops.

Queen of Sicily

Constance Queen of Sicily resource bonus skill

Queen of Sicily provides additional resources after Constance finishes gathering from a resource point.

  • Resource Bonus: 2% / 4% / 6% / 8% / 10%

This is one of the main reasons Constance remains useful after newer gatherers become available. At level 5, the completion bonus reaches 10%.

Do not repeatedly abandon nearly finished nodes without a reason. Constance’s Queen of Sicily and the Gathering talent The More the Better reward completed gathering trips, so finishing the resource point improves her economic value whenever it is safe to do so.

What Resource Should Constance Gather?

Wood is Constance’s best natural specialization because The Regent provides up to 20% Wood gathering speed compared with 15% for Food and Stone.

That does not mean she should always gather Wood. The best resource is often the one currently blocking your account’s progress.

Resource Constance Skill Bonus Recommendation
Wood Up to 20% gathering speed Best natural specialization
Food Up to 15% gathering speed Good alternative when needed
Stone Up to 15% gathering speed Good alternative when needed
Gold No bonus from The Regent Gather when Gold is the account bottleneck or other specialists are occupied

Your Gathering talent tree can still improve Gold gathering even though The Regent does not. Therefore, Constance remains capable of farming Gold when your dedicated Gold gatherers are already busy.

Best Troops for Constance

Siege units are generally the best troops for safe resource gathering because their high load lets you carry more resources with fewer units. Constance’s Loving Mother increases that capacity further.

Send enough troops to carry the resources remaining in the node rather than automatically filling the march to maximum capacity.

During dangerous KvK periods or when gathering close to enemy territory, mobility can matter more than load. Faster troop types may be preferable if there is a meaningful risk of being attacked before you can retreat.

Best Commander Pairings for Constance

Gathering pairings are simpler than PvP pairings. Both commanders contribute their relevant skills, while only the primary commander contributes talents. The main goal is to combine gathering speed, load, resource specialization, or additional-resource effects.

Constance + Sarka

Sarka is one of the easiest budget partners for Constance. Her universal gathering bonuses and troop-load utility work well with Constance’s Wood specialization and completion bonus.

Once both commanders have complete Gathering talent trees, using them to lead two separate marches may produce more total resources than pairing them together.

Constance + Gaius Marius

Gaius Marius is another inexpensive Elite gatherer. He specializes more strongly in Food while also helping with Wood and Stone, making the pair useful when collecting any of those three resources.

As with Sarka, separating two developed primary gatherers is usually preferable when you have another march queue available.

Constance + Matilda of Flanders

Matilda is an excellent economic partner because she has strong gathering bonuses of her own and can provide additional resource value when fully developed. This combination is especially useful for large resource points when you want both load and gathering efficiency in one march.

Constance + Seondeok

Seondeok is especially strong for Gold gathering, an area where The Regent gives Constance no personal speed bonus. If Seondeok has the stronger Gathering talent tree, use her as primary and let Constance contribute her load and completion-resource skills as secondary.

Constance + Cleopatra VII

Cleopatra VII is another flexible gathering partner. There is no need to spend Universal Legendary Sculptures simply to improve this combination; develop Legendary gatherers naturally and save premium sculptures for important combat commanders.

Is Constance Worth Investing In?

Yes, especially for F2P and new accounts. She is inexpensive, needs relatively little experience, and provides economic value that does not disappear when early combat commanders become obsolete.

Her ideal investment is straightforward:

  • Obtain her sculptures through normal Expedition progression.
  • Unlock all four skills instead of protecting her combat-focused first skill.
  • Work toward 5-5-5-5 naturally.
  • Reach level 27 quickly for The More the Better.
  • Continue to level 37 for Superior Tools.
  • Stop there unless you specifically want additional gathering utility.
  • Do not spend important combat equipment or excessive experience on her.

Players comparing different progression options can also review a Rise of Kingdoms account for sale, but gathering strength should be evaluated alongside commanders, technology, VIP level, equipment, troops, stored resources, and overall account development.

Common Constance Mistakes

  • Building her for combat: Struggling Poison is not strong enough to justify a PvP-focused investment.
  • Taking her to level 60 unnecessarily: Level 37 already covers the core economic talents.
  • Ignoring Superior Tools: Its all-resource gathering-speed bonus is one of the main goals of the Gathering tree.
  • Using combat talents on a dedicated gatherer: Retreat from dangerous marches instead of trying to make Constance fight.
  • Assuming Wood is always the correct resource: Gather whatever your account actually needs.
  • Using two completed gatherers in one march when another queue is free: Separate them to operate more resource marches at once.
  • Sending too many troops: Extra troops beyond the required load do not make the node gather faster.
  • Leaving nodes unfinished unnecessarily: Completion-based bonuses make fully cleared resource points especially valuable to Constance.

FAQs

What is the best Constance talent tree in Rise of Kingdoms?

Use the Gathering tree. Prioritize the resource Gathering Mastery talents, reach The More the Better around level 27, and continue to Superior Tools around level 37. Additional Siege mobility is optional afterward.

What level should Constance be for gathering?

Level 27 is a strong early target because it allows a standard build to reach The More the Better. Level 37 is the recommended finished gathering target because Superior Tools can be maximized. Level 60 is unnecessary for most accounts.

What is the best resource for Constance?

Wood is her strongest specialization because The Regent provides up to 20% Wood gathering speed. Food and Stone receive up to 15%, while Gold receives no gathering-speed bonus from that skill.

What is the best Constance skill order?

Do not treat Constance like a combat commander that must keep its first skill locked at level 5 before adding stars. Unlock her gathering passives early and work toward 5-5-5-5 naturally, with The Regent, Loving Mother, and Queen of Sicily providing the important economic value.

Should Constance use Siege units?

Yes, for safe gathering. Siege units have high load and work well with Loving Mother’s additional troop-load bonus. In dangerous areas, a faster troop type can be preferable if avoiding enemy marches is more important than maximum load.

Is Constance still useful later in the game?

Yes. She may eventually stop being your first-choice gatherer for every resource, but an inexpensive level-37 Constance remains useful for filling additional gathering marches and collecting resources while your combat commanders are occupied elsewhere.

Conclusion

Constance is one of the most efficient budget gathering commanders in Rise of Kingdoms. Build her through the Gathering tree, aim for The More the Better at level 27 and Superior Tools at level 37, use her primarily for Wood when resources are balanced, and let her skills reach 5-5-5-5 through normal Elite commander progression.
