The new east server has now been open to everyone for 1 month, after early access for Founder’s Pack buyers. All meet now to challenge each other. This new server announced in January 2023 had created some uncertainty among players, raising 2 well-founded issues.
On the one hand the fact of an abandonment of the west server and on the other hand a not very active west server. This is because the server is intended to accommodate players located in the Asia-Pacific region. However, they have no obligation to change to the new server. Especially since they generally already have an account on the west server and they don’t want to give it up. Indeed players joining the new server do not have the possibility to transfer their accounts to the new server. They have to create a whole new character to integrate it. We can imagine that some will continue to play on their old characters but also set foot in the new one.
Despite all these fears, the creators were able to reassure the players. The creators of Albion Online explained that they would adapt the dimensions of the servers in order to maintain an optimal density of players for the 2 servers. A fact that could be seen during the first weekend of invasion by the guilds on the new servers. Players were able to take part in epic battles with their guilds to impose themselves on the new territories offered by this recent server. We can therefore foresee good years for this new server which has many surprises in store for brave warriors.
